OK, playoff format reminder time.
Since we only have 10 teams, everybody has already played each other once and it's time for the screwy playoffs.
Seed 10 & Seed 9: Play each other for 4 weeks to see who gets the first pick in the draft. Winner gets pick #1, loser gets pick #2.
Seed 8 & Seed 5: Play each other for 2 weeks. Winner moves on to play the winner of 7 vs 6.
Seed 7 & Seed 6: Play each other for 2 weeks. Winner moves on to play the winner of 8 vs 5.
Seed 8/5 & Seed 7/6: Winners play each other for 2 weeks. Winner gets pick #3, loser gets pick #4.
Seed 8/5 & Seed 7/6: Losers play each other for 2 weeks. Winner gets pick #5, loser gets pick #6.
Seed 4 & Seed 1: Play each other for 2 weeks. Winner moves on to play the winner of 3 vs 2.
Seed 3 & Seed 2: Play each other for 2 weeks. Winner moves on to play the winner of 4 vs 1.
Seed 4/1 & Seed 3/2: Winners play each other for 2 weeks. Winner gets pick #7 and is the Champion, loser gets pick #8.
Seed 4/1 & Seed 3/2: Losers play each other for 2 weeks. Winner gets pick #9, loser gets pick #10.
We can also open up for debate after the year if we want to expand to 12 teams, which would allow a shorter playoff where it's 1 week, win and advance. The downside would be the whole late season bye week fiasco.
Remember, you can choose your lineup each week. Whoever you play in week 1 of the playoffs doesn't necessarily have to play the next week. If you're like my dumb ass and have 4 star players on the bye this week...you can play them next week. Also if you're like me and have a star player from Baylor.....well we're fucked bc we lost out on some games because of their bullshit 3 bye weeks. That was the deal when we drafted their video game offense.
Now if you excuse me I'm going to go see if I can even field a team this week.
