Yes, 16 users (8 per division).

I had to turn away several people last year that wanted in the league. If we're going to add more to the league, then we need to expand the player pool.

Did they wallow in lonely misery or end up in one of the other leagues?

I don't think the talent pool is particularly close to be tapped out, especially when the alternative is to flood the early rounds with mountain west and wac players.

I also repeat my disdain for the current waiver system but I know there may not be much flexibility there.

Fair enough. How about just adding the remaining Independents? (even if we don't expand)

I'm not a fan of it either, but CBS doesn't offer much else. Maybe we'll get lucky & they'll have some new options this year.

I think we need to heavily consider the ones that are considered. If we get some like the ones that are hyped about NFL Mock Draft and then disappear, we would be doing a disservice to the league. Some times more isn't better.12 is good, 16 is a bit many. This way we play everyone once and sometimes one or two twice.

I'm cool wi expanding as long as we expand the player pool a bit. Also, make the new guys have the worst drafting slots. I struggled enough when it was 10 teams...don't kick a man while he's down :lol:

Making a few "commish" decisions......

Adding Piney & fanaticbuckeye to the league, which will bump us to 14 teams. Also adding the remaining Independents (BYU, Navy & Army) to our player pool. This isn't a huge change, as they were already listed in our current player pool, we just didn't allow them to be picked up.

Also doing away with the Divisions. Top 8 teams will make the playoffs.

We'll get the draft started in a couple weeks.......

Any idea on when the draft starts ? I'm going to be gone from the 13th-30th for Annual Training. Not sure how service is going to be in the Mojave Desert, but I'm sure it will be non-existent, not to mention we'll be in the field virtually the entire time. 100+ degree temps every single day will probably destroy my phone, so I'm not taking it to the field & will probably only have a few chances to use it when back at the barracks.

I really enjoyed doing this last year & despite it being my first season, and doing poor (At least made the playoffs), it was quite fun. If you guys are going to kick this thing off before the 29th (When we actually get back), feel free to fill my spot with someone else as I know there was some demand to get in the league this year. I just won't be able to draft until then at the very least & I don't want to hold you guys back from getting the draft done as it took quite a while last year.
