Week 3 picks are up. No Vegas odds yet exist for us @ Cal, probably because everyone is watching Braxton. So I've taken a look at Cal's games, the unknown at QB, and placed it for pickem purposes at 17.5. As long as we're all picking against the same spread that should be fair.

Cal lost at home to Northwestern 44-30, and also at home to Portland State 37-30.

The FCS games this week, for those who want more info than "FCS Misc Cupcake" are as follows:
Western Illinois @ Minnesota
Youngstown State @ Michigan State

If you made your picks between last night around 7pm EST and 4:45pm EST today, you may want to revisit your picks and make sure things are as you want them. Thanks!

Okay, this is where I lack all grace and pat myself on the back for placing the spread at 17.5 way back on Monday, a good three days before the actual odds houses.

Vegas finally caught up, and they are as follows presently:

5Dimes: 16.5
Bovada: 17.5
topbet: 17
BetOnline: 17
GTbets: 17
Sportbet: 16.5

Clarity the Greek, just without Jimmy's fascination with genetics and high thighs.

Vegas, hire the kid. He has no idea what he's doing and isn't too proud to trumpet dumb luck.

All the results are keyed in for Week 3. Expect Week 4 game population late Monday or early Tuesday, whenever the bulk of the new odds hit.

Congrats to @BB73 @calibuck and, oh man, @LongwoodBuck for all coming out on top this week with 9 of 12 correct picks. I'm sure I won't take any heat over that last one here at home, what with my .500 performance this week.

It's a long season! Keep picking, I expect the leaderboard to shuffle wildly and often as we get into B1G play. It's never too late for others to get in and play! So if you're not in yet, make your picks for week 4, and don't forget we have an NFL pool going as well.

Finally, I consider this new feature an early success. I plan to offer survivor (king of the hill) pools next year, but what else would you all like to see for next year? Top 25 pool? Points-based pools? Straight picks? We can do as we please, we're rebels like that.

Week 4 games have been populated and the week has been opened for picks.

A few notes:
There are only 10 games to pick this week because Purdue is at Wisconsin, and Illinois has a bye.

The FCS Misc Cupcake games are as follows:
12:00pm Florida A&M at Ohio State (herp derp)
3:30pm South Dakota State at Nebraska
3:30pm Maine at Northwestern

Any feedback about all of this? Are the updates and notifications helpful?

My experience from running pick'em and having my wife pick more correct than me in any given week is that she only mentions it to me, our family and friends, and pretty much everyone we've ever met about two or three times per day.

This may be why I don't want to run pick'ems anymore. Or talk to my wife.

So yeah ... may God have mercy on your soul, C-Dog.

Poor guy. Lost to a girl and wants to whine about it. :)

Clarity, when Dryden was running it he had the percentages based on the picks the person made and not the overall number of picks to that week. I forgot to make my picks last week. My percentage is based on the overall number of picks. Is this something you plan on changing? You may end up with much fewer people playing by the end of the season if it stays as it is because what would be the point in continuing to play if you miss a week.

We can probably sort out the stats any way we want with a change to the code. Keep making picks, and I'll ask the developer about that as an option. Although I have questions about how that works. Why wouldn't someone stop after week one, for example, if they got 100% that week? Or why wouldn't they skip a week if they found the lines particularly unfriendly? Maybe I'm not understanding.

Congrats to @bucks4me who stands alone atop week four with 9 out of 10 correctly chosen. @CincyBuck88 is alone atop the overall leaderboard with 29 of 46 games as we head towards week five. Per the norm, I'll populate the next week as soon as spreads are posted, probably Tuesday.
