I find myself picking Mizzou to go far every time I fill out a bracket. Just something about the whole thing that sets up nicely for them. Marquette and Louisville are pretty weak 3 and 4s.

Of course that means Florida or UVA will beat them and blow my bracket up 4 days in.

Looking forward to this one, Iona-BYU. The Gaels lead the nation in scoring and BYU isn't far behind. Iona won Siena's conference during the regular season.

BYU averages only 5 ppg less than Iona, the nation's highest scoring team, but so far the quickness of the Gaels is overwhelming them.

I think Iona could be a VERY interesting match up for Marquette Thursday, barring a Mississippi Valley type collapse tonight.

Interesting. I would have never guessed that by watching this game. Iona clearly has a different gear. I don't know if they can defend but they can run and get shots.

HOLY HELL WHAT A PASS!

Marquette hasn't had an opponent reach 80 points on them all year. Makes you wonder how they'd react if they found themselves in that kind of situation. Maquette appears to be decent in terms of defensive efficiency, but looking at their schedule I don't see many teams that would make them sweat like this Iona offense might.

I want to further articulate my question about whether or not Iona can defend. Clearly they are underwhelming statistically in that department. They don't appear very stout to me in this particular game, but in this situation the don't really have to defend if they don't want to. It's one thing to defend poorly because you elect not to. if the chips are down and they find themselves in a close game on the big stage can they turn it on for brief moments when they want to. If they can continue to score like this that might be all they need to make a run.
