Other than Larry Lucchino. Ben Cherington wanted Dale Sveum, Lucky told him to go home and get his fucking shine box.

I'm also taking this sudden outburst as residual butthurt from just losing 3/4.

Don't know what you're talking about. I live in DC now. I'm a fan of the first place Nats!

In all seriousness, I'm feeling pretty bullish about the Rays this year, despite the poor performance against the Sox and the blown lead last night against the lowly Twins. I think this is the best starting rotation they've ever had, Longoria should be an MVP candidate, and they should get good enough production from guys like Zobrist, Pena, Jennings, Scott, and Joyce to win a lot of games. My only concern is the bullpen, but Madden seems to always figure out that quandary and turn a weakness into a strength. I don't think the Yanks or Sox are as strong as they have been in recent years, either. They've gotten really old really fast.

up 9-0 in the 6th inning. losing now 14-9.

Bobby Val is gone before the All Star break.

They can fire him but I don't know any manager who can win with garbage pitching no matter what name is on the front of the uniform. It went to shit in September and all that has changed is the date on the calendar.

Losing Ellsbury to injury doesn't help, either, especially those of us who drafted him in fantasy baseball.
