Man, these are all tough. Dodgers are the wild card her because they have the 2 best players in the NL (Kemp/Kershaw) and how they respond to the ownership thing (and if they have a bullpen) is anyone's guess. D-backs look long to repeat, but then again, no one had them winning last year either.

I really want to think the Rockies will make a run at the division, but if they won it, it would be their first...

Do they have the pitching out there? Guthrie looks good, I have him penciled in for 14-15 wins and 205 or so innings, but does anyone else in the rotation look like a division contending-type of guy? I was never impressed with Chacin that much...

I don't follow the Rockies player transactions as close as I follow the Buckeyes, but I know the they acquired several new pitchers and there always seem to be a few new faces in the bullpen every season at Coors Field. No real proven 'ace' on the roster - but I suppose Guthrie from BAL may be the closest. Coors has always been a tough place to pitch - the curse of playing at 5,280'...

There aren't any power arms in the Colorado rotation now. They acquired Guthrie and Jamie Moyer during the off-season. I like the Giants or the D'Backs. Still think the Giants have the best starting pitching in the division, and if they can stay away from the injuries and get some offensive production that they were missing last year from the guys who helped them win the WS, then they take it.
