Prater is talented I just don't trust a Northwestern offense to target a single WR. He's certainly worth the gamble late in the draft. I have no idea why Ware was still on the board.
With my #1 & #3 backs facing off-field trouble, I figured I should grab a third in James Sims. He did pretty well splitting carries, his running mate left Kansas. Charlie Weis is gushing about him in the media despite his upcoming 3 game suspension for a DUI. Combine that with the amount of catches Weis backs usually get and he could be a huge steal.
QB Bray - was a monster last year before getting injured. Shouldn't be a nagging injury either.
QB Thomas - top fantasy QB with a lot of new blood protecting and catching his passes. Excellent value later in the draft.
RB Ball - apparently a monster on and off the field.
RB Bernard - was an absolute stud as a true frosh and was a very good receiver. With the spread he should see even more catches.
RB Toussaint - primed for a 1400 yd season before messing up off the field. Hoke can't afford to bench him for long.
RB White - quality beyond his handicap, especially with 2 back sets UW plans to use this year.
RB Lawrence - #2 back behind Josey (145 car 1200 yd 9 td), who is redshirting (injury). His team may get worked but he'll get a lot of touches.
RB Yeldon - dominated the spring game. If Lacy stumbles (injury or performance) he could be the go to guy.
RB Sims - Split carries with a RB that transferred. Weis loves him and he put up solid numbers in a platoon system.
WR Stills - with every experienced returning WR kicked off the team, he stands to have a strong season, even if Metoyer lives up to the hype.
WR Highsmith - Expected to be the focal point of the high octane passing offense coming to NC.
WR DGB - best WR recruit since the Julio/AJ class, on a pass happy team that has no defense. I smell a lot of passes.
WR Beckham Jr - caught 41 balls as a frosh from an arm punter. Poised for a solid 60+ catch season with a competent signal caller.
WR Bell - 145 catches depart w/ Maze, Smelley, Richardson, Hanks. Bell is top returning WR. Offense is supposed to be much less pedestrian this year.
WR Stewart - Has had some huge games, coaches singled him out repeatedly in the spring. Always worth a gamble with their O.
TE Ford - Caught 14 balls in relief of 58 rec 600 yd 9 td Allen, winner of the best TE (Mackey) award. Should put up nice numbers.
K Catanzaro - Clemson offense is a well oiled machine. Very happy to steal him after a long run on kickers had already transpired.
DEF LSU - best defense in the country last year with a brutal schedule. Much softer schedule this year and an offense that shouldn't leave them out to dry as often.
