It was supposed to start on Monday. I think it could get delayed by 1 day if Irene just went by on Sunday, unless it managed to do serious damage to the stadium courts or something like that.

this might be murrays best chance to win a slam, Nadal is having some foot problems, Joker is having some shoulder problems, Federer is on the back end of his prime (though never count him out)...

but I take the field over the top 4 seeds for this tourny

After Roddick's protest, and demand to move from a wet court to an outer court, (with no camera coverage) the US Open officials announced that the men's finals would be delayed, played on Monday.
It sounds as if the players are uniting and have applied a little leverage to overrule the powerful influencers of the media and their need to sell advertising, gain ratings, and pretty much run the show.

Watched nearly every point, missed most of the 3rd set, but saw the tiebreak. Whatever Djoker got on his back in that medical timeout, Nadal needed some of that in the final set. Damn, really unimpressive final set. I was hoping it'd be better than that after the 2nd set, but Novak absolutely dominated this season.
