Beating Florida last year was no big deal. They pretty much sucked.

The Alabama game was a total fluke. Garcia had the single best game of his life that day. He played his 'career' game - the one that will sit on him mantle to be fondled in years to come. He'll never, ever, ever play a game that well again - even if he has Brett Farve's career.

The Razorbacks beat them like they owed them money in Columbia last year.

Auburn beat the snot out of them in the SECCG last year. They might as well have stayed home.

Florida State beat them in the Chik-Fil-A that wasn't as close as the final score suggests.


I think they're set up to win the East again this year with a couple of breaks, but I don't see them going any farther than that.

3. Arkansas Razorbacks
Opened 50-1; Current: 30-1
The SEC has won five consecutive BCS national titles and six of the previous eight. You can't dismiss that kind of power. Of the teams into the margin (meaning lighter than 10-1, which removes Alabama, LSU and the Florida Gators from discussion), Arkansas has the most firepower. The Hogs have the best group of receivers in the country, one terrific running back in Knile Davis and another capable one in Ronnie Wingo, and a promising quarterback in Tyler Wilson. They also have playmakers on defense in Jake Bequette, Jerry Franklin, Jerrico Nelson and Tramain Thomas. The bad news: They have to go to Bama and LSU and also face A&M in Arlington, Tex. But if anyone in the country is capable of overcoming a loss to get to the BCS title game, it's an SEC West team.

I'm getting lost here......we're saying how great Arkansas was, and/or how great their victims were (Gator's team, Bama, etc), but when OSU pretty much snockered the Hogs, it was a 'win over a mediocre SEC team'?

Sirs, please get it straight. If the victim is great, then the victory over such a team has to be great as well, correctamundo?

He has already been punished for this, having been chained to a rock for eternity, every day having his liver eaten by a forced-to-wear-a-Bama-jersey Bobby Lowder, while Houston Nutt explains his giggity principles of life into the mosquito filled night until sun-up, at which time it repeats.

There is no further need to dwell on the recent unpleasantness.
