The dunks that were made were a great set of highlights. The thing with side-by-side backboards was unique.

They need to have the judges give scores other than 9 or 10. Too little differentiation among the scores without having tenths.

I thought the double backboard thing was cool too.

I do think this "spectacle" is outrageous. Its no longer a dunk contest as it is a trick contest. Its lost all of its valuable with adding capes, toys, cars, etc. I feel like Im watching a damn Harlem Globtrotter's game with this crap they call a dunk contest.

At the height of the dunk contest it used to be one guy, one basketball - get creative and that was that. Its now a frenzy of stupidity. I'm sure we could find some Youtube trick shot and dunk studs to impress us with outside objects to dunk over and around.

Next year lets just go ahead and open this thing up to the And 1 Tour basketball players and see what we get - can't get any worse.

And I agree, the judge need to quit being to happy to throw around the 9 and 10 cards.

Yeah, it is a bit ridiculous now, but at the height of its popularity 25 years ago they were still using props. Griffin jumping over the hood of a Kia is no different than Dominique or Webb or somebody jumping over a rack of basketballs. The heights are approximately the same.

After Vince Carter perfected virtually every single dunk possible without a prop around ten years ago, dunk contest participants stopped trying. Hell, most of the best dunkers in the NBA don't even bother participating now.

The TNT announcing team was [censored]ing hilarious, however.

Did anyone watch the "All Star Draft" that TNT did? I was cracking up the entire time.

Seriously? I thought they were terrible. Chuck and Kenny Smith just ran their mouths the whole night.

The best part was when Chuck said Blake needed to spend some more time in the weight room. Dwight fired back with a when was the last time you were in the weight room Chuck?
