I think Toms is out of the tournament due to injury. Glad to see Sergio made it in based on your list. Last time I had heard he hadn't qualified yet.

The list is from a bookie site - I don't know which entrants are official and which aren't.

Haney: American unlikely to win British Open

Tiger Woods' former coach Hank Hainey has low expectations for Americans at the Open. "I will be totally surprised if an American wins the Open this week," contends Hank Haney, who has coached two men, Woods and Mark O'Meara, to a total of eight major victories. "I expect one of the top European players to win at Sandwich. "In the past, when Americans did win the Open it was invariably because we simply had better players. But that isn't the case any more. Now, the Europeans have more talent. So it will be a pretty large upset if an American does win this week. I mean, what do we have, six players in the top 15?"

Betting the field is always a good idea....dooooh why didn't I

Sometimes I make up the odds for the field, but this time it came from a betting site that had odds for all of the guys listed.

I was suprised they were 10-1, especially at the British Open, where the bounce of the ball can be a real factor.

He's done... but, what a good tourney so far.

I suppose we shouldn't put a fork in American golf just yet.

The rumors of the death of American golf have been greatly exaggerated....

Our guys, even Mickelson and Love, who rarely if ever play well in the Open and Tom Watson, and Tom Lehman (who saw that coming) have performed very well. Not like the cough cough No. 1 and 2 players in the world missing the cut, those Euro studs.... You gotta love Fowler going toe to toe with Rory for 3 days and going lights out on the back today.

It would be great if guys like Johnny Miller and Curtis Strange would just shut the fuck up. Announce the golf and be done with it (just take one chip and end it). Strange about came all over himself early in one of Rory's first rounds when he made a birdie..."I have feeling this is the start of something big"...
