Merih and I are locked in an epic battle of failures.

He is starting the longhorn D that has given up 300 yds passing & 34 pts to OU before half, though 14 were TD passes from longhorn QBs

Not to be outdone, my OU back has mustered exactly 11 yds on 11 Carries.

Merih's Chris Thompson mustered a whopping
4 fantasy points vs OU by rushing for -9 yds. Today he has two yds.

my back Ballard has a very offensive line, but surely they can handle the 108th ranked rush D of UAB? Nope, 0-3 at halftime, including another FG mix by UAB

edit: now givens scores to spoil all the fun :shake:

I want to call out Mania for leaving Jones on the bench, but Tajh Boyd has 23 fantasy pts (2 tds) through one quarter.

Weeded has 38 with 2:00 left in the first. :pimp:

EDIT - ended with 46 in the first quarter. :banger:

holy points against Batman.

738, or 147 ppg by mania opponents.

some others:

896 | 179 | Starbucks
917 | 183 | Mac
909 | 182 | Katt
964 | 193 | Merih
989 | 198 | wood

not that my 815 is high...

Seriously, every team goes off when I play them. Not that my team is that great, but 51 ppg higher than mania--nuts.

yea, I would had won if I had played Jones.......I thought Boyd VS BC was a better matchup though......it was until he ended up getting hurt :bonk:

also playing Roddy Jones was incredily stupid, 6 rushing yards 0 points.....should had just went with Ricky Galvin who ended up putting 20 points up

I know the smart owner who picked them up... Also the one who picked up Ballard with Tenn-Martin coming up on their schedule.

yes, I'm familiar with those many waiver pickups of yours, being denied myself for one of your three pickups. we have to find a new solution next year, we just traded one system of hoarding based on alarm clocks for one where the lower ranked teams can claim as many players as they want.

as for Ballard, good luck with that. he even struggled against cupcakes this year their line is horrendous.

I'm pretty sure it runs through the whole order and doesn't just give them to people with lower records. I was maybe middle of the pack in waiver order... and was given 3 claims... out of 11 total moves today.

You did pretty well for yourself in week one with the "old system"

yes I know, lots of problems with both systems, which I capitalized on, though alarm clocks do work out there :p

I'm not sure what you mean by running through the whole record. is there some indication that a waiver request costs the owner their spot heading into the other requests ?

win based waiver wires are great, I just think it resetting weekly is questionable, especially since that also raises the issue of wherever all requests are made with the same waiver priority per week
