Arizona’s best player, receiver Juron Criner, may miss the season. Criner was scheduled to participate in an ESPN publicity tour but canceled because of what was called a family matter.
But the Arizona Daily Star’s Greg Hansen reported earlier this week that Criner has an undisclosed medical problem and his status for the season “remains uncertain.”
(I heard last night that it’s not an injury, but it’s serious.)
Remember, the Wildcats have already lost No. 2 tailback Greg Nwoko to a knee injury and dismissed WR Bug Wright from the team.
Nick Foles will have to be very, very good for the Cats to challenge for the South title.

It's funny how, when somebody has been skipped, everyone shows up ready to make their pick right away.
86 is on the clock

Good value pick. I've been eyeing him for about 3-4 picks but feel like he's a safe but unexciting pick. Around here that's a good value.

Florida State receiver Taiwan Easterling has signed with the Chicago Cubs and is leaving the football team.

Not great news for new starting quarterback E.J. Manuel. But he still has Bert Reed, Rodney Smith and Willie Haulstead to throw to.
With Mikel Leshoure off to the NFL, Illinois offensive coordinator Paul Petrino is using the offseason to search for more playmakers. One established go-to guy is quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase who as a freshman threw for 17 touchdowns while also rushing for over 800 yards and five more scores. "I think he will run for 1,000 yards this year too. That’s the type of play we’ll need from Nathan" said Petrino when talking about his quarterback. Petrino also wants to get the ball to his tight ends saying "I think with speed that we have at the position with you will see us throwing to the tight end more."
That would be quite a feat.

The worst part is asking if you still would have drafted him if you knew he wasn't going to be a QB, RB anymore in Weis' overhauled offense?

We have a little while until his pick, but I vote to give mania 6 hours on the clock when his pick comes up again.

I'll give him until 10pm tonight. If he hasn't made a pick by then, we're moving on.
