1) I vote for any system that screws over Starbucks

2) what was the system last year ? First come first serve ? And did it start in the morning or the wee hours of the night ?

3) a non cycling order seems problematic . Does that mean bmac would get all five waiver requests in one week if he wanted them all ?

4) can we make the start time 12 pm E T ?

It can be done through CBS where you submit your waiver wire requests and they pend until the commissioner approves each move. You could check with BN27 to see how well it works for him.

First come, first serve & I believe you could make moves beginning Sunday morning

The information they provide is pretty limited. I'm guessing you can rank your waiver requests, so obviously you'd get your top one (providing you're at the top of the waiver list or anyone above you hasn't picked the same one).

Just found this....

In order to provide an equal opportunity for all owners to add players to their roster that are new to the free agent pool, a Waiver process can be implemented. Owners' requests to add players on waivers to their roster are not executed immediately, but are put in a pending status for a least 24 hours. This allows multiple teams to request the same players. Most nights between midnight and 6AM ET a Waiver Process will be run, executing the pending requests in Waiver Rank order (so, for example, if waivers runs in your league on Tuesdays, it will run late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning). If you play in a non-commissioner league, waivers will run every night. If you play in a commissioner league, your commissioner can select which nights waivers will run. Check League Home, Rules to see which nights it does run in your league.

I say we give the waiver system a shot & have it run on Tuesdays, with the reverse order of standings setting the order (If you're in last place, you get top priority).

The only thing I don't like about the waiver system is if there is an unexpected injury and you need a last minute replacement for whatever reason. Are we able to just have it open at all times? I think that's how it was last year.

I'm pretty sure if we set up the waivers to run on Tuesday, after they're processed, all players are available for immediate pick up.

Ok, since we all seem to be ok with it, I went ahead and turned waivers on. They will run on Tuesdays & it appears that all players are available at this time. If something acts up, I'll just deactivate them. Any issues, let me know.

Sounds good. Hopefully the waiver system cycles after each pickup, so a waiver wire lets you pick up one guy and then returns you to the end of the pack for the next request.
