Christina Manning, 100m Hurdles - As MD said above, National Champion (12.89! Goes well with her 60m hurdle indoor title. Congrats to Christina on a great Buckeye career and a stellar way to end it!

Christina Manning, an NCAA champion in two events for the women’s track team, was named Ohio State’s female athlete of the year, and Zain Shaito, a member of the national-champion fencing team, was the Buckeyes’ top male athlete.

Manning, of Waldorf, Md., won NCAA titles in the indoor 60-meter hurdles and outdoor 100 hurdles. Shaito won an NCAA championship in foil.

Congrats Christina, a very worthy honor for her!

Don't know if this fits here or elsewhere, but I read this in my SI today.

Alexis Thomas participated in the hammer throw today at the Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. She finished 22nd overall with a throw of 56.70m (186-0).

Christina Manning will be running the 100m hurdles at the Olympic Trials this week. She runs her prelim race tomorrow. Going into the event she is tied for the 5th fastest time... top 3 make the Olympic team. Good luck Christina!

Christina won her 100m prelim heat (12.77) and has the second fastest time overall. That doesn't mean a whole lot at the prelims in the trials, but she has put herself in a good position to qualify for the finals. The semi-finals and finals are both tomorrow. Good luck Christina!

Christina won her semi-final heat but finished 5th in the finals, 2 places and 0.06 seconds away from the London Olympics. A great first trials for Christina and shows she has a bright future in track & field should she continue in it.
