2010 TSUN offseason arguments & shenanigans

Very. I can't think of a single starter on offense for scUM who'd be an upgrade over his Buckeye counterpart. Maybe JWins has a thought on that.

I think that Roy Roundtree could easily start here, probably as #3 (maybe #2) WR. You could argue that Schilling would take BB's spot, too, but that's not much of an upgrade, if any. The next closest guy would be Molk over Brewster, but I think that Molk is fantastically overrated. They point to how shitty the line played with Molk out last year, but that's mostly a comment on just how terrible their OL is, not how good Molk is. Aside from those, they don't have anybody who would crack the starting lineup.

On defense, just forget about it. Mike Martin would be in the two deep at DT, but aside from that there's nobody worth a shit on that side of the ball.

I know right. Yes there line sucked after Molk went down. They also weren't playing UMass anymore.

Browning is rock solid. I'm not convinced Schilling unseats him, and I don't see much of an upgrade if he does (so basically, GP IA).

Justin is a better guard than center, but if Schilling is the 2nd best guard, perhaps they slide Justin to center.

Roundtree would play regularly like Robiskie 06, Gonzalez 04, Posey 08, Carter 09, basically making him a starter. He's the only one I want on the roster.

Martin would be a LOT better in a different scheme (good thing RR dissuaded his fears of playing in a 3-3-5 when he was wavering after Carr retired), but would still be coming off of the bench. OSU could certainly use him but as a backup.

Last year, Graham obviously starts and is probably the best defender on the squad.

Mike Martin plays regularly as a backup like Simon.

Stevie Brown & Donovan Warren would not play much. Ezeh & Mouton would be behind Tony Jackson on the depth chart. JT Floyd would be unlikely to get many reps on the scout team.

It truly is astounding the different states the two programs are in.

I look up and down there roster and these are the only kids I'd want to see action this year here:

Roundtree is a solid, if unspectacular receiver. He'd in all likelihood be the #3 guy this year with Duron gone. If Duron was still here, they'd be neck-neck. Stonum is talented, but I don't know that I take him over our guys.

Schilling might make the 2 deep at OG, as possibly would Omameh. I like Tayor Lewan as a prospect, not to see action this year.

Doucherocket or not, I'd take tater, in our offense, over the guys we have right now, to back up TP. I think KG has a higher ceiling/more potential, though.

On defense, Martin, even if he is a curly-haired fuck would be a nice addition to the DT rotation...not a starter, though.

After that? Hmmmm, Roh would be a RS frosh fighting for PT at LB, not sure I'd take him over any of our guys.

I've heard good things about Hagerup, their P...might be the best player on their team by the end of the season. :slappy:

They're used to the punter being the best player on the team. It's a new tradition up there. RR's defensive strategy is to tire the opponent's offense by allowing them to put up video game-like numbers. Need a good punter for that.

Maybe they should give him the #1

1) No kidding you'd take the D. Anybody with 3 working neurons would make that trade.

2) That's not the question. Most Michigan fans talk up the offense and shit on our O, when they know damn well that they would prefer to a) have Pryor, their shit-talking notwithstanding and b) be able to grind out victory by effectively running the ball.

There's a reason I asked about the offense: nobody up there wants to admit it, but they would make that trade if pressed.

Note: This is not photoshopped at all.

We make the midget jokes, but thought they were just that...jokes. Looks like they weren't just jokes after all. :slappy:
