2010 TSUN offseason arguments & shenanigans

The sand that these people have their heads buried in must be affecting their logic.

Re: Early Line.....Michigan -2.5

My point in saying it is a ridiculous line is the fact that we have a much more talented roster than UConn and should see a lot of improvement this year...Thus, playing up to the level of our talent...

I disagree with the notion that UConn had a better team last year...UConn would have gotten beat up in the Big Ten just as bad as we did last year, if not worse & not had the same record...With that said, if we would have played them early last season, I believe we would have won.

To set the line at -2.5, is basically saying that Vegas doesn't believe the talent on our roster is learning RR's offense and GRob's defense...IMO, the team will be much improved...We may still take a beating once we get into the belly of the Big Ten season, however, game one, at home, we will put a pounding on a much less talented UConn squad...IMO.

Lastly, mark my words (as I said in an earlier post), the line will be -6 or more on game day.

So, according to Mr VEGASTIM, not only are the professional odds makers stupid for putting a line on the game which essentially makes scUM an underdog, but UCONN doesn't have near the talent that scUM has.

They love living in their own little world now, don't they?

I think its a bit myopic for them to say Michigan has more talent

probably going on name recognition alone

WERE MICHIGAN!!!111!!!1......you start a sophomore walk on at safety though.....

Uconn has a solid linebacker core (better than Michigan's) a better running game (Toddman blows away any scUM back)

based on play youd have to say QB play is a wash, neither are very good (Frazier vs Tater Tots/Shoelaces)

neither team has very proven WRs

Michigan probably has more "talented" olinemen, but Uconns certainly isnt chopped liver, they bring 4 back from a group that was rock solid last year

Dline would probably go to Michigan on suspected "talent", Uconns group is undersized but quick and can generate pressure

both secondaries are major questions, uconn isnt bad enough off to roll out a sophomore walk on though, so id have to give them the edge there

I do not seen any reason to believe scUM will be any better last year, they will likely get worse on defense....the absence of Brandon Graham will be clear IMO..... Uconn wins this game

UCONN is better coached...game...set...match...they beat the tar out of SC in their bowl game. They are salivating at the chance to beat Michigan. Michigan has alot to be concerned about...starting out with a loss may be the straw that breaks the camels back.

While I agree with the second part of your statement, I don't put much stock into beating South Carolina these days. The Old Ball Coach is simply that, Old.

I think you missed the part that said, "bowl". I can see how the meaning of that word might have slipped your memory. :tongue2:

I think he was saying UConn wouldn't have had the same record they did last year if they were playing in the Big Ten instead of the Big East.

And that's true, isn't it? Since UConn was a better team, they would have had a better record than scUM if they had played in the Big Ten!
