2010 Ohio State Spring Game (Apr 24, 1 ET, BTN)

Can someone do me a huge favor and sum up the first half for me real quick with the highlights and tell me how a few key players are doing? I missed it as I just got him from work. First play I saw was that catch and run by Z. Boren...

Thanks!

Not a LOT of running plays. TP- 8-12 100? yards and a TD.
Kenny G is the story of the game. He's playing really well, that and Stoneburner having 3-4 catches, are the really pleasant surprises. Nate Williams, was playing well at the beg of the game. Torrence is struggling.

JT said the defenses are running a very vanilla game plan. I think they're hoping to throw it around a little bit and get the offenses going. The first quarter there were a lot of guys wide open. TP and Guiton looked pretty good at times. Second quarter was Siems and Bauserman and the offenses didn't look as smooth. Pretty ugly in a few spots, but Boom and Hall had a couple quality runs.

Pryor didn't settle in immediately. He had some protection issues on his first drive. His second drive was an excellent four-play TD drive. Every throw looked to be the right decision and on the money. The drive after that he had an ugly throw that he tried to force into coverage over the middle. During the season that gets picked off. Other than that it's been good though.

Kenny Guiton has also impressed - He led a TD drive of his own right before Pryor's. He has had better protection than Pryor for the most part, and he took advantage of it. He has definitely been the second best QB in this game. He overthrew a couple open deep balls.

Saine has run with agility and power.

Devon Torrence has had a rough day. Actually, it has looked to me like the entire secondary has had a rough day - but I also consider that that's the biggest question mark on the defense right now and a lack of depth will get exaggerated in a spring game format like this one.

Watching (kind of) while messing around with my guitar.

From what I have seen so far, I have to say that Guiton looks like a very viable backup QB right now. Better than Bauserman. He had some nice touch on those passes.

That catch and run by Boren was fun to watch, hope we see more of that during the season. Also, I think Stoney will have more than a few passes thrown his way this year the way he picked that pass out of the air in coverage. The offense is looking pretty good, IMO.

The defense needs some work on wrapping up and staying away from the facemask. Torrence is getting owned, hope he is just not on his game today because he can play much better than this.

I heard 60K and then 50K for attendance so far. Anyone know what the official is?
