"This combine should be a great event on Saturday, and we're excited to be in partnership with Scout.com," Harris said of the event. "Raw Talent Sports is dedicated to producing elite athletes, at every level of competition. We are sponsored by (NFL stars) Nate Clements and Lee Evans, and a few other backers."

"We are not only teaching speed and agility, but we also teach them how to play the game," he continued. "Of course, we love having the elite athletes, but I also get a lot of joy out of helping that 'diamond in the rough'. Of course, we have athletes like Doran Grant and Cardale Jones, but we help place kids at Division-III schools too. I'm the son of a pastor, so I'm all about seeing kids succeed as young men. I love seeing young men head to college, to earn degrees, and become adult men."

Raw Talent Combine Attracts OSU Prospects

The Raw Talent Combine in Cleveland on Saturday attracted a number of prospects who are drawing the attention of the Ohio State coaching staff.
At the top of the list would be Doran Grant (Akron, Ohio/St. Vincent-St. Mary). The star cornerback landed an early scholarship offer from the Buckeyes and currently has Ohio State and Michigan State at the top of his list. Grant picked up an offer from USC on Friday.

Quarterback Cardale Jones (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville) doesn?t have an offer from the Buckeyes at this point, but is on their radar screen. Jones just picked up an offer from Michigan to go along with a number of others he has including Iowa and West Virginia.

Wide receiver Shaq Washington (Maple Heights, Ohio/Maple Heights), did not work out at the combine on Saturday, but attended. He has offers from Toledo, Bowling Green and Ohio University, and has attended an Ohio State junior day.

The Buckeyes have offered one tight end from Ohio, Nick Vannett (Westerville, Ohio/Central). However, another they have been in contact with, Ray Hamilton (Strongsville, Ohio/Strongsville), attended the Raw Sports Combine. Hamilton has scholarships offers from West Virginia, Michigan, Pitt and a number of others.

Gary Holmes RB Seminole Ridge - After watching Holmes in the fall, it was good to see Holmes in person at the combine. He is short, but he had a broader frame than expected and looks able to add much needed weight. Holmes also blazed a 4.58 second forty.

This author rates Charles Davis out of Neptune, NJ as the 2nd best TB in attendance... He's characterized as multi-talented with good wiggle & a player others tried to emulate... Vernard Roberts from Dunbar, MD also performed well... He's described as shifty with a great first step... Both list an interest in OSU...

The MD/DC Regional Elite Showcase sponsored by MD Underclass Sports and Ego Sports and organized by MDHigh.com will be held at the Frederick Indoor Sports Center in Frederick, Md., on Sunday, March 7. All participating athletes will be tested in the 40-yard dash, shuttle, vertical jump, broad jump and bench press.
