2009 U.S. Army All-American Bowl - Jan. 3rd

I just got back home, can anyone break down player performances of commits/recruits? I went through most of the stuff but didn't hear players like Jamie Wood mentioned. I told dad to DVR the game but he got the UA game instead.

Well, here's my 2 cents:

Hall and Moses spent alot of time playing side by side.
hall struggled in the first half with bull rushes, but looked very good getting to the LBs and pass pro got better as the game went on.
Moses looks very agile and they looked good side-by-side.

Boyd looked very good. He didn't necessarily impress by running with the ball (Newsome sure did, though), but more with moving in and around the pocket, buying time, and throwing on the run.

Jamie Wood played alot, but hardly any balls were thrown his way. I would take that as a good sign. The East D backfield was pretty dominant, though.

Corey Brown stood out. Made a fantastic catch on a TD pass thrown by Boyd rolling to his left. Great pass - great catch. If he indeed plays D at tOSU, his ball skills will pay great dividends.

Bell looked very fast and a sure tackler. Didn't make any spectacular plays, but I don't think we're too worried about his ability anyway.
Would have been cool to see him get a few carries, too.

Simon was solid - shows great mobility and motor. I guess we'll probably use him as a 2-gapper, but he could be a penetrator, too.
