Brandon Pettigrew? :slappy:

He might be a good TE, but the Lions have holes EVERYWHERE. what the hell?

Matthew Stafford drops back to pass.. Calvin Johnson open deep! Brandon Pettigrew open over the middle! Stafford is sacked for a loss of 8.. and the Lions punt.

Pettigrew is the best draft pick I can remember the Lions making in the past 10 years.

Had they not drafted WRs 4 years in a row, CAlvin Johnson wins that contest hands down. That said, this isn't saying very much

I totally agree. He could be a productive player there for years.

Not if Stafford is flat on his ass every other play.

Calvin was a high pick who deserved the high pick; phenomenal talent. Pettigrew was a top-5 talent in this draft, and the Lions got him on the cheap.

And his talent is going to be wasted when Stafford has no time to pass. They have a dreadful offensive line.

Best available works when you're a playoff team, but when you suck at nearly every position on defense, and nearly every position on the offensive line, best available doesn't seem like the greatest idea to me.

But hey, I'm not in the NFL. I hope it works out for them.
