2009 FCS versus FBS (official thread)

It really is amazing to see how much difference a head coach can make. Three years ago Indiana looked like they might be respectable or even *gasp* semi-good under Hoeppner. Now they're batting down Hail Marys to preserve wins over FCS Ohio Valley Conference foes.

Yeah that may be the only game they win all year.

EKU could have had a shot at this if not for the worst clock management in modern history.

Indiana's was also terrible. Between the 5 and 3 minute mark they hiked the ball 3 times with more than 15 seconds on the play clock.

After that, they realized that running down the clock was a good idea.

Anyone catch that William and Mary beat Virgina? I think the Al Groh era will soon be mercifully over.

I believe Duke lost to Richmond as well. Bad start for the David Cutcliffe era.

Yep. The ACC has more lossses to FCS schools than they have wins over FBS teams. A win over Middle Tenn St is their lone win over FCS (1-A) teams.

And the loss by Virginia should count as two - 1 to William and 1 to Mary.
