That's a HUGE "if". The rotation worries me. I think they did a nice job of upgrading the bullpen by bringing in Wood (presuming he can stay out of the trainer's room) and Smith. Fausto HAS to at least approach his 2007 form or else they're in trouble. Pavano has never shown any inclination to even try unless he's pitching for a contract, which he is this year. But then again, he leeched a lot of money from the Yanks, so he may not give a shit again.

To me, it's Minnesota. They're always tough and for my money, Gardenhire may be the best manager in baseball. I think Minny wins it, though it is an odd year, so the Tribe may be able to pull it off if they can remain healthy...another BIG "if".
