2008 U.S. Army All-American Bowl - Jan. 5th

I was at the game, so I'm not sure if it was noticeable on TV, but TP spent a LOT of time talking with the other Buckeye commits, in particular Posey and Brewster. This may or may not mean anything, but I'd like to think it's a good sign. Also, I happened to meet Mike Brewster's Dad in a concession line and he said Mike's shoulder is going to be fine.

Leon Hall got abused when he played in the AA game his senior year and he turned out to be pretty good. Cissoko will be a player for scUM. Maybe not the "savior" that scUM needs at CB, but he'll be a good one.

VERY impressed with Lamaar Thomas. I kinda cringed when I heard at one time (back when he was uncommitted) that he was adament about playing RB in college, but after seeing him play today, I have no qualms about him playing RB at OSU. He's gonna be a playmaker for us. Salutes go to Coach Hazell on that one.

Adams is really something too! I watched him almost every snap. He's as solid an OL I've seen since Korey Stringer. Adams held Washington in check every snap that he was in (the one sack Washington did have was against #77). Pretty much just confirmed what Ohio High School Football fans have been telling the recruiting "experts" for over a year now. Even without the Buckeye bias I posess, I think it's pretty obvious that the rankings in Ohio should be Adams #1 (best OL at AA practices), Posey #2 (best WR at AA practices), Rudolph #3 (best TE at AA practices). Not a shabby year in Ohio.

Applause to Pryor too. What an accomplishment. And when he pulls the trigger for S&G, he'll be the THIRD US Army AA Game MVP to be playing for us (others would be Ted Ginn Jr & Chris Wells). The very definition of a team building block.

Great game and fun to watch. Very impressed with all the OSU guys and we had some surprises.
-Stoney was out of position at TE and the East didn't decide to utilize the position at all, so not much to see there but we already know he is a stud. -Posey only had one catch and also had a very nice tackle on kickoff coverage but we all know what he is capable of.
-Adams had an amazing game and flat out shut RJ Washington down, which is amazing. I want to see an Adams vs. Bowers matchup someday. Best OL in the country (maybe a tie with Brewster though).
-Shugarts did an excellent job against Forston, though he had some help from Habern. I watched him closely and he really looked big and strong out there.
-Sabino had a couple tackles and a nice one on McGuffie on kickoff coverage. The LB's really seemed at a disadvantage since they couldn't blitz. He drew rave reviews from practice anyways.
-Thomas looked amazing and he is going to be a very good one at OSU. Extremely quick and has that extra gear (though we didn't quite get to see it). I see him being utilized all over the field at RB, WR, KR, and PR.
-It's a shame Buchanon didn't get to play today.
-As far as probable future Buckeyes, Pryor was absolutely awesome and I knew once you threw all the this and that drills competitions out the window, Pryor is your best player in a game situation. He is absolutely special.
-Apart from Adams, Jenkins was the OL I was most impressed with on the East. Every time I saw a huge hole in the middle, I would replay the play in slow-mo and see Jenkins destroying somebody. He played one heck of a game.
- As a side note, I missed on the Pryor announcement (though I made no gurantees). Either way, it's just a matter of time.

First time poster here guys, im a senior fisher student, what up fella's. Just from watching the game, and hearing these guys all talk about each other in just about every interview they give, its amazing the camaraderie they've all formed in such a short time. It seemed like every shot I saw of TP, he was with big mike, who went to my hs, posey, or thomas. I didnt once seen him even talk to one of the michigan recruits. Honestly, i dont think the buckeye sticker or chanting go bucks into the camera means much, these kids are still young and are having fun with the whole process. I do think though, that the friendships he's formed with guys like brewster, posey, adams, etc mean ALOT. He seems to just feel comfortable around these guys, and i would be willing to bet the whole michigan hoody was a joke between all of them and something he did to rag on them. I dont want to speculate, but i have a feeling TP will be on our sideline next year, he just seems to have a sense of pride while speaking about the bucks and i think the fact that RR left guys like white and slaton behind, guys who he made promises to that he'd be there for, didnt sit well with him. Regardless though, best of luck to all these athletes, whereever they may end up :osu:

The best part for me was the fact that the announcers didn't even make an attempt to hide their disappointment that Gerell Robinson didn't pick ND. So funny.

Exactly.

If I'm not mistaken they even said something about his decision was based on the fact that he wanted to be a big fish in a small pond rather than the other way around.
I recorded the game. I'll have to double check to see if that is what I heard.
If so, I guess ASU is just a lowly small pond compared to ND. Wow, What an insult to ASU.

Didn't see this video posted anywhere, an interview with Brewster after the game. He identifies the source of Pryor's helmet sticker.

Adams! Would make ME look good running the ball!
Flash will be used like Ginn and look better on sweeps and reverses(better hole reading). Will be explosive as a receiver.
Stony, was not used. :(
Posey looked good. Great reports from SA!
Sabino, who some said was great during the week, was quiet.
Arthur Brown is a stud.
Shugarts was kind of quiet. Have to rewatch the video to see how he did.
Luck was an impressive looking QB. Crist warmed up and they picked on Cissoko! You can't teach height. ND has a nice WR-QB combo coming in. Crist-Floyd
Brandon Smith looked like a stud.
McGuffie was kind of quiet.
TP was....TP! Still a man among boys.

Random thoughts:

1. Crist to Mike Floyd. If CWeis doesn't screw this up (a distinct possibility given his failure to develop talent), this will be a frightening combo for Irish opponents. Two absolute studs.

2. Our recruits looked great. Very much a top recruiting class regardless of where one Terelle Pryor matriculates.

3. Pryor is good enough that we "need" to get him. If he goes to UM it will be really bad news for the Buckeyes. He is a rare talent indeed; clearly the #1 recruit nationwide. I do not use the "need" word carelessly.
