Welcome folks! You're lookin' live at the 6th Annual BP Pick'em Contest (originally run by gbear, but I guess I'm hijacking this again since he hasn't logged in for two weeks).
If you have not played before, the rules are simple:
1. Every week there will be a new pick'em thread for that week posted. You will pick eleven winners for those contests AGAINST THE SPREAD.
2. When submitting your picks, copy & paste or reply & edit the original list. It is helpful if your submission uses the same name as presented in the original post, as scoring is (usually) computed automatically with simple pattern matching. E.g., if you are presented the choice of Southern Cal v Ohio State, please use either "Southern Cal" or "Ohio State" in your reply for that pick. If you list your pick as USC, OSU, "The Bucks" or something else, it could be scored a loss, even if you had correctly predicted the winner.
3. You are scored by your pick percentage (correct picks / total picks) from the results of the first ten games on the list. The eleventh game is used only in the event one of the other ten games is canceled or postponed.
4. Point spreads do not change once posted.
5. You are not required to play every week, but you must participate in over 50% of the weekly contests (typically a minimum of 8 out of 15), plus the bowl season.
This weeks picks are due by 8:00 PM, Thursday Aug 28.
NC State at South Carolina (-11.5) [Thursday]
Southern Methodist at Rice (-3.5) [Friday]
Youngstown State at Ohio State (-34.5)
Utah at Michigan (-3.5)
Appalachian State at LSU (-23.5)

Michigan State at California (-5.5)
Illinois at Missouri (-7.5)
Kentucky at Louisville (-4.5) [Sunday]
