2008 King James Basketball Tournament

After talking with a couple people that were there and reading reports and what not here is what I gather...

Cameron Wright is ever improving, still has a way to go but a very good athlete, needs a little refinement on his jumper, so that he isn't shooting it so low...But he will be an all around player, when he is here...I see him in the Evan Turner mold...Not sure if he will be that good, but a guy that fills the stat sheet, pts, rbs, assts...

Jared Sullinger dominated the event...Dominated Evan Anderson the 7 footer that will be a top 20 type player and probably end up at Wisky...Ones he adds a couple more inches on to his frame, and gets his body into a little better shape he is going to be a force that not many will be able to contend with...He doesn't really have the NBA body either, so even tho he is so good look for more than one year out of him...

Trae Golden...Continue to hear that he is a great scorer, but many aren't sold on him at the point just yet...Sounds a lot like a more athletic Jamar Butler...Which is fine by me...I think he will continue to work on his point skills and by the time he is here will be able to give solid minutes at the point, and also be able to play off the ball...He is another one that while very good will need more than one season, unless he is a true point, which at this point I think he needs some work on, but he can score and score in bunches...

The guy really exploding on the scene as of right now is Jordan Sibert...Playing with All-Ohio read people are taking note of his play along side Staten and Sullinger, and with Payne not there this weekend he really stepped up..He is a 6'3'' SG, with a little bit of point skills but most see him as a Sg..From what I hear he reminds me of another All-Ohio alumni in James Dews who is now playing at Miami(FL)...Not sure if there is room, especially if Golden is going to be a combo guard, and us probably needing another big in the 10' class, but Sibert is turning himself into a high major player...

Last but not least is Hairston...i continue to hear great things about him, and he would be a great pickup, but I continue to think that we would be better served to go after Payne, as I think that Hairston is going to stay closer towards home, even tho he has great things to say about us...

Wright seems to progressing nicely at this point.....most reports described him as being athletic with the ability to get to the rim but needed to work on his outside shot...

Golden has a ton of talent on the court....the only question is if when he arrives on campus will he be more of a scoring guard or a point guard.....either way we win.

Sullinger is a man among boys by all reports......knows the game and can dominate taller players.....area of improvement would be his conditioning at this point......

Sibert is exploding on the scene at this point......Harrison seems like he want to stay close to home.....I do not know if we can overcome that.
