Decided to keep track of this again... I will update both with this year's pairings (once available) and then as the results of games come in.

As with last year's thread found here:

This is not intended to make any point at all. It's simply data and some observations which may or may not have any relevant meaning. Use it as you wish

ACC, Big East, Pac 10 - No games remaining.

Well, the only good thing for the Big Ten thus far is that because Iowa took it to South Carolina, the Big Ten boasts a 1-1 record v. the SEC, and has outscored them 21.5 to 17.

The Big Ten may be "back" next year, but this year it sucked ass in bowl competition... regardless of what happens on the 5th. Be prepared for a long off-season of people telling you how bad the Big Ten is/was/will continue to be. Unfortunately, your lone response looks to be "Yep, it did look like shit, didn't it?" Cause you're gonna lose about any other argument.

The only consolation for Buckeye fans is if Tressel's group beats Texas. At least we would be able to say our team took care of business which would be like a breath of fresh air after the previous two seasons.

Fer Sher. As long as Ohio State wins, I don't really care about the perception of the conference (assuming it doesn't fall to mid major status, which is of course highly unlikely)

This is what I've learned this bowl season about each major conference, alphabetically, in four words each:

ACC: Equality isn't an asset.
Big East: Again, who are they?
Big Ten: As mediocre as expected.
Big Twelve: Really don't play defense.
Mountain West: Top half is worthy.
PAC 10: All improved a lot.
SEC: More average than expected.

Final results all tallied....

Some ugly numbers up there for big ten fans....

I'd say the Big XII didn't do so hot either, considering the hype going in to the bowl season. ACC results aren't surprising. Big least once again did well in bowls, but had either favorable or unimpressive match-ups throughout. Pac 10 heads the class this season, and that does surprise me. I think the SEC did pretty much what was expected, even though the 2nd loss didn't come from who I'd guess going in.
