I was shocked to see Torrey ahead of Brown. Brown has grade issues apparently and if I'm not mistake, I heard some OSU coaches talked with Brown when at Lakeland HS. I can see a debate on all 3 DT's being #1. I don't think there is a huge gap and all are pretty close imo.

Honestly Torrey did not impress me at all. I would have Austin, Brown, and Barksdale ahead of him for sure and I am sure I could find more if I saw all of the flim.

Couldn't agree more. I hardly see Torrey as a top 100 player to be honest. Perhaps a top 250 4 star.

Yeah Rivals had a vote of wheter or not he should be a five star and the results werent pretty.

Another guy that I was really dissapointed in was Anthony Davis. I have never seen a highly rated lineman stand straight up out of his stance and then attack the defender. He gets away with strength right now, but there is no way he could do that in college.

Well, Anthony Davis wasn't a 5 star but I personally thought he should be. I watched the tape of where he stood toe-to-toe with Marvin Austin and was very impressed. He will need some work on his technique but I think his physical ability warrants a high rating, though I can see your point.

Where is that video at??

He has a ton of potential and with the right coaching and development of the tright technique he could and should be a stud, but I think he is a guy that is not a come in and start right away, he is going to need a year or two.

A few things:

1) I wasn't particularly impressed with Benn either. Great hands, strong body, but looks slow, and isn't that tall. He looks more like a slot/possession type of receiver than a big play receiver.

2) Torrey Davis is an absolute terror of a defensive lineman. He's about 300 lbs and runs a 4.85, he's actually quick enough to play DE in college(and I, along many others, formed that conclusion before he ran that forty), but also obviously big enough to play DT. He's a true stud, very versatile as well.

3) John Brown has some grades issues, but they're no worse than Torrey Davis'. I have no clue why he's hardly receiving any interest at all from college coaches(except MAYBE FSU coaches). They must have seen something, or maybe he told them he's FSU-bound already.

4) Devine is in some sort of special computer class right now. It's a very cheap way to get him qualified, but it's working as of right now, so he still has a chance to qualify.

I am sure you would know better, but just from highlight films I was dissapointed especially by a guy that received a five star rating.

I am sure that a lot of coaches have an idea he is going there. I really like his game and also am suprised by him not receiving a five star rating.

I guess you gotta do what you gotta do, but this isnt going to help him when he gets to college. Is he still a Cane lock??

Miami isn't even recruiting Devine. He's a way from qualifying at a school like FSU or UF, so he's even a longer shot at qualifying at Miami, who uses substantially tougher standards. FSU is recruiting him pretty hard, but they're short on scholarships so they may have to give the RB scholarship to a RB that would commit sooner. UF is recruiting him too, but not as hard, plus UF doesn't take nearly as much chances as FSU does with borderline kids. I'd say he's pretty open, I think there's a good chance he'll go out of state.

As for Brown, if you just go by his videos, they aren't any more impressive than Davis'. The problem with Davis is that he doesn't always play hard. If you watch his highlights, you can see that he's almost never the first guy off the line. That shows a lack of concentration, which he admits to. But you can definitely see his athletic abilities, as in the SunshinePreps clip, where he chased down a RB and other mobile QBs. The only QB he had problem catching was Jarred Fayson(#11 QB in the middle of the clip) a 5* recruit from last year. Also keep in mind that both Lakeland and Armwood are Florida powerhouses, so they play against some really good competition(in Davis' clip for example, he went up against Tebow's Nease team and Fayson's Hillsborough team, and probably other powerhouses as well that I didn't recognize)
