Head Coach
With Rivals listing thier 5 stars, I figured I would take a look at the film and give a shot at a top 15 in the country. Keep in mind that I don't spend a whole lot of time on this, but I think I spend enough time to form a credible opinion.

Here is my top 15 prospect in the country:

1.) Josh Oglesby
2.) Chris Galippo
3.) John Chiles
4.) Willy Korn
5.) Allen Bailey
6.) Caleb King
7.) Noel Devine
8.) Marvin Austin
9.) Ben Martin
10.) Tray Allen
11.) Dwight Jones
12.) John Brantley
13.) Eric Berry
14.) Gary Gray
15.) Toney Clemons

Just on the outside looking in Joe McKnight, Joe Barksdale, Deonte Thompson, Everson Griffen, Armando Allen, John Brown,
Thoughts???

Ive actually been working on a top-100 for a few days now and should be done with it sometime next week.

Anyway thats a really good list. I think Clemons might be too high, and I would probably replace him with Everson Griffen.

No Jimmy Clausen in the top-15??? I heard on Sportscenter that he is the best high school prospect ever!!!

I still think the fact that Clemons coach was slow to get his tape out hurt him in getting offers. Kid is a stud.

As for Clausen I just don't see what other people do.

I will tell you one thing that Galippo kid can play. I am a sucker for a hard-nosed lb, but that can will kill you. Same with Allen Bailey.

I agree with you on Clausen, I was just kidding. I think hes a 5*, but not as good as the media makes him out to be.

What do you think about Arrelious Benn. (spelling?)

Probably top 50 somewhere, but just not really enamored with him as a WR. I think LB is his better position, but I don't think that is where he is really being recruited as.

I know what you mean.

I watched his film on Scout and didnt see what all the fuss is about, then I read one of his updates and it said he had over 50 offers, which really surprised me.

Too high for John Brown IMO... I think he's the #3 DT behind Austin and Barksdale.
Mine would look something like this...
1. Josh Oglesby (Clausen will be #1 in the rankings though...)
2. Marvin Austin
3. Noel Devine
4. Willy Korn
5. Chris Gallipo
6. Caleb King
7. Deonte Thompson
8. Joe McKnight
9. Ronald Johnson
10. Ben Martin
11. Eric Berry
12. Joseph Barksdale
13. Tray Allen
14. Allen Bailey

I agree with you here, and I really can't believe that Rivals had that Torrey guy ahead of Brown and as a 5 star.

Only knock on this list, is no Eric Berry and having Johnson on there. I know that Berry is an athlete, and Johnson has played corner, but Johnson was hurt last year, and in his video the competition is pretty bad, and he just uses his speed, and overall athletic ability to shine. Not saying he is not good, just don't see him in the top 10.

Also doesnt it suck to have to rank Devine so high, even though he is not going to qualify and will not be playing college football in 07'. He is just that good.
