2007 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

I'm guessing Quinn goes to KC, Baltimore, or Chicago. Actually, I think Chicago would be ideal for him. Huge ND fanbase up there.

Chi or Baltimore taking him would be a mistake. Both teams are on the cusp of winning it all. These days in the NFl your window is short. You can't waste a first round pick hoping he'll pan out and do well in 2-3 years.

Yea but does anyone really think Chicago is gonna win it all with Grossman right now?

why not? They almost won it this year. It's not like Grossman has to get a lot better, just a little. ANd this was his first full year as a starter, right? (i.e., not injured)

All he had to do was not lose the game for them -- and he couldn't manage that. I'm not a bears fan, but I've got zero confidence in him. Not that 1st round is where I'd expect them to take a QB -- but I think they definitely need somebody in this draft.

Not many. Remember, if you are drafting late, you had a good record and are probably set in the QB position.
You latched onto my exact meaning, I agree.

Unless a team wants to set up an in camp competition, or set up a later round trade scenario, there is a chance that the Golden Boy of the Irish could drop below that bottom third 1st round level.

Big money being lost by the Quinn household as each non-QB pick is announced.

...and he also made a fool of himself in the SuperBowl. Then again, Baltimore did win a championship with Trent Dilfer, so maybe QB isn't all that important.
