Two horses excluded as Derby receives 22 entries

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Likely favorite Curlin and a record-tying five horses trained by Todd Pletcher were among an over-the-limit field of 22 3-year-olds entered Wednesday for the Kentucky Derby.

Reporting for Duty and Delightful Kiss were excluded from the field, which is limited to 20 starters based on graded stakes earnings. Reporting for Duty was 21st on the earnings list and Delightful Kiss was 23rd.
