    :)

The advantage beepeeweekee has over a thread for this sort of thing is that more than one person can update and keep the information up to date. Not that there's anything wrong with this or other threads like it, we're not moving away from the forums as the main focus -- but certainly educating the userbase about the wiki and encouraging its use will be key to its growth and success.

UFA signings would probably go on their profile pages, and of course here --> http://www.buckeyeplanet.com/wiki/index.php/Current_events

Eight Buckeyes selected in 2007 NFL draft

Ted Ginn Jr. and Anthony Gonzalez picked in first round

As it is every year, the NFL Draft is full of surprises. This year was no different.

One thing that isn't foreign to the draft is Ohio State Buckeyes being selected. Eight former OSU players were picked in the seven-round draft Saturday-Sunday at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.

Two of those Buckeyes, wide receiver/returner Ted Ginn Jr., ninth to Miami, and wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, 32nd to Indianapolis, were chosen in the first round. With the selection of Ginn Jr. Gonzalez in the first round, Ohio State now has the most first round picks all-time, 66, in the history of the NFL draft. Southern California, who had no players picked in the first round, is second all-time at 65.
The six other Buckeyes chosen in the draft were defensive tackle Quinn Pitcock (third round, 98th overall, Indianapolis), running back Antonio Pittman (fourth round, 107th overall, New Orleans), defensive end Jay Richardson (fifth round, 138th overall, Oakland), wide receiver Roy Hall (fifth round, 169th overall, Indianapolis), quarterback Troy Smith (fifth round, 174th overall, Baltimore) and center Doug Datish (sixth round, 198th overall, Atlanta).

    Cont'd ...

    Stan White, Jr

The Detroit Lions oughta take a look at him. Corey Schlesinger should be getting close to retirement. He is the lead blocker, occasional receiver out of the backfield, special teams, wherever-you-need-me kind of guy. I would love to see a Buckeye up here north of the border.

Also praying that Mike Kudla gets a fresh chance somewhere. You can't watch the 2006 Fiesta Bowl and not think that he can make it with some NFL team.

    Onward and Upward....

    Schlesinger is a Dolphin.

I'd love to have Kudla get a shot in Miami opposite Jason Taylor. Poor guy went from star to deathbed to star again, now looking for employment. He'll be alright wherever he ends up I'm sure.
