I picked Ohio State. Mainly because I don't know. Michigan should have a pretty good offense, with so many of their team returning. I think they'll put up a lot of points against the lower half of the conference. But they'll run into trouble against a tough defense. I can see them finishing 6-2.

Wisconsin, I think, will be Wisconsin. Nothing flashy, but they'll silently win a bunch of games. 6-2 for them, too.

Ohio State will win some tough games, but also lose an easy game. Illinois or Indiana or someone who doesn't deserve to be within 14 points of Ohio State will get all the lucky breaks, and Ohio State will try to come back, but a crappy fumble or interception or something will seal the loss. But then they'll turn around and stomp a tough team, like Wisconsin. 6-2 for the Buckeyes, too.

7 votes for IU? How many Hoosier fans you guys got lurking around here anyway?

And by the way, the Big Ten is so up for grabs that any one of Michigan, OSU, Wisconsin, or PSU could win it, I think. But I'd be terribly surprised if any Big Ten team makes the title game next year. Of course you always expect to win them all as either a Michigan fan or Buckeye fan.....but realistically, there's an upset lurking somewhere in the '07 schedule for both teams.

I was thinking the same thing.

7 votes for IU.......WTF?!

I dont think there is a clear-cut favorite at this point. It will come down between a few teams.

I'd say based on talent.... Michigan with an ever slight edge over Ohio State (keep in mind this is Michigan where plenty of talent has been pissed away in recent years). Wisconsin and Penn State both have outside shots.

Illinois realistically has a ways to go yet, but with the recent awesome recruiting classes, they just might be your best bet for a "sleeper" team that could surprize ppl this year.

They definitely are a landmine for any team, but I don't think they have the consistency to win a big ten title.

Pretty tough to lose to someone not on the schedule... :roll1:

They don't need to lose to Indiana for my statement to be right.

Not much for optimism huh????

Of course I pick Ohio State. I will never count out Coach T. Our D will be a lot better then last year and we will have a lot of weapons on Offense. Hopefully we will have a QB who is smart with the ball and make some plays happen. If we get that and Chris Wells stays healthy... Look out!
