no offense but Sizemore has no business as a starter. I don't think he should be a reserve either. .278, 12, 34 w/ 22 bags and 81 K's. Even as good on D as he is, no way. No Vladdy or Ichiro? I assume that was an oversight.

Ichiro is only going because of the Japanese vote. He and I-Rod and Beltran have no business being in SF this year.

Since I was doing my team without regard to the real voting, Ichiro wasn't considered. I suspect Big Papa was doing the same.

Ichiro is hitting .359, with more RBI's than Sizemore and the same amount of SB's. To not consider Ichiro is strange at best.

I agree that he is more deserving than Sizemore but Ichiro is clearly not one of the best 3 OF in the AL this year. However, my statement that he doesn't belong in SF went too far. I don't think he has a case as a starter.

Nope, that was just my homer pick, since it is my team, that's who I want. Now go fight some dogs.

Glad to see Martinez get picked up as a manager's choice. How people vote Pudge in as a starter year after year is beyond me...

I think CC gets the start.
Martinez's offense is awesome, as a catcher he sucks. Pudge is the best defensive catcher that most have ever seen and I guess others recognize that as well. Sizemore being on that team while others such as Youkilis, Granderson, Sheffield, Cabrera who all have better numbers, were left off is beyond me.....

Rodriguez is living off of the defensive hype from three years ago and Martinez is being unfairly punished from his performances back then. Shoot, in 2007, Victor has a better CS% and a higher OPS--by 184 points.

As for Sizemore, he is only the third worst decision in the AL outfield. Why Rios and not Troy Glaus? Why Crawford and not BJ Upton? You could even make a case against Manny being there. When I said upthread that Sizemore was borderline, I wasn't considering guys like Rios or Crawford, nor that they'd pick 8 (!) outfielders.

I agree to a point that Pudge lives off his reputation but it isn't from 3 years ago. Last year Martinez was so bad defensively they had to find him another position, he was ran on at will. Pudge was pretty good behind the plate last year throwing guys out. Also ask any pitcher who they would rather have behind the plate and it would be a landslide. Pudge calls a great game. With it being an all-star game I wouldn't be upset with Martinez starting as he has put up the numbers offensively to justify it.
