I wish the talking heads would look closer at the actual matchup than the record. How many conferences would go 4-0 with the MWC's opponents? Somehow the Big Ten's #T8 (MSU) plays the ACC #2 (BC). I'd be willing to bet that most Big Ten matchups involve a team that finished higher in the opponent's conference.

Agree... if you look at the bowl schedule a good amount of the BCS teams have yet to play where as the non-BCS teams are pretty much done. It does give a small (but by no means the best) gague as to which mid-majors are the better conferences. If you look at the MWC's opponents (Navy, Nevada, UCLA, Houston, California) they are either other mid-majors or "bottom" of the pile BCS teams... that's how a vast majority of these mid-major games are with the notable exception of Hawaii this year.

I think someone did some research on this. It was posted somewhere. But maybe that was only comparing the Big Ten and the SEC. But I agree - BC was a big-time team. Michigan State was just Michigan State. Granted, it's a John L Smith-less Michigan State, but it's not like they were a conference power. And they play BC. Go figure. And, from what I've heard (I wasn't paying much attention to the announcers during the game), BC's win was a huge statement for the ACC. How is that? That's like saying that Florida's beat-down of Western Kentucky shows that last year's national championship is not a fluke.

Yeah, BIG statement there by a team that made it to the ACC-CG (and had beaten the ACC champ earlier in the year) over a Big Ten team that barely managed bowl eligibility. And winning the game by THREE points after winning the turnover battle by THREE (gift interceptions by an uncharacteristically horrific Brian Hoyer): truly amazing. How does the ACC do it?

A bottom of the pack B10 teams spots the ACC runner up 5 players, 5 turnovers and only loses by 3 when their QB has the worst day of his life and the OC has him throw 36 times anyway.

We should be 3-1 in the "lesser" Bowls but because of MSU's OC and IU's ineptitude we'll only be 2-2.

Oh well the next 4 are the ones people remember.

Its funny how the B12's post season mirrors the B10's last year. They won 2 out of 3 in their "premier" Bowl games but because of the egg laid by the bell cow school they are going to get hammered this off season.

I personally think the SEC showed its the deepest, the B10, B12 and Pac 10 showed solid but not spectacular. The BE continues to show solidly in Bowl games and is slowly earning my grudging respect.

The ACC is the undisputed champion of the "worst BCS conference" competition and its not even close.
