2007-2008 College Basketball Season Thread

#22 Kentucky loses to Gardner Webb last night 84-68. I think with the early start this year teams with new coaches and or teams that have to work in a lot of new players are going to be more upset prone early on.

UConn gets by MEAC bottom feeder Morgan State by 4 points

Nate Blank and Gardner-Webb were on top of the world after defeating Kentucky 84-68 in Rupp Arena.

The students filed into Gardner-Webb's tiny arena in Boiling Springs, N.C., yesterday wearing red shirts, some with their faces painted, many carrying signs.
They were celebrating the school's signature moment -- and watching a replay on a giant screen late yesterday afternoon -- of the Bulldogs' upset of No. 20 Kentucky in Rupp Arena a night earlier.
"UKan't run with the Dawgs!" read one sign.
As the players milled around next to the cheerleaders and the band, coach Rick Scruggs was trying to talk over the cheers despite his hoarse voice.
"The enormity of it, it's still hitting me now," Scruggs said. "You always think about playing in Rupp, at North Carolina and those people."

Roberts is the best player in the A10 and Wright and Marcus Johnson are two of the best athletes in college hoops. Hope Gregory lets them run and gun some this season.

This years freshman class is beyond sick. Rose, Beasley, Love, Gordon are all off to great starts.
