On the defensive line, Robert Rose is hands down the best player today. A guy that looks like he was cut out of granite but has been softer than a feather, Rose came off the ball and buckled Sam Young's knees.

U.S. Army All-American Bowl
What: National high school All-Star game pitting an East squad against a West squad.
Where: San Antonio's Alamodome.
When: 1 p.m. TV: WKYC Ch. 3.
Notable: Among the 78 players chosen for this year's bowl are Glenville's Robert Rose and Akron Garfield's Chris Wells. Rose is projected to start at defensive end and Wells is listed as the East's starting running back. . . .
Other projected starters from Ohio are left guard Justin Boren of Pickerington North and right guard Connor Smith of Cincinnati Colerain. . . . Glenville's Ted Ginn Sr. is head coach for the East squad. Among his assistants is Matt Chinchar, who is on Ginn's staff at Glenville. . . . Players have been in San Antonio for nearly a week, as festivities began Sunday with a welcome dinner before five days of practice. . . . Several players are expected to announce their college decision during the telecast.
