Dude.. take your panties and remove them from your ass crack..

The point I'm trying to make is quite simple. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT! We are absolutely perfectly fine right now.

We have good DBs coming in already this summer, and we'll have some more in this 2006 class. We have good DBs in the program already before the 2005 class joins us.

Now, like any "Captain Obvious" points out, is that we don't know anything now do we? And I can relate that to what you are pointing out as well.. we have, what, 26 guys listed at DB, or 33 whatever we are targetting in the 2006 class... how do you know we aren't targetting much more, but we just don't know about it yet, do we?

Seriously dude... chill out.

4. The jury is still out on Patterson, Jenkins and Washington who are listed as safties. I don't know if any of these guys have the ability to slide over to corner and either do you.

Man.. fortunately the jury doesn't include any of our coaches, who have a far larger understanding of what our needs are, and who can play what position.

currently there is welch, lane, B. Underwood, and jenkins (despite the fact a recruiting service put S next to his name he's a cb. thae 5 minutes to read recruiting updates on him and look at what spot he played in high school) that are all cb's that are either freshmen or sophmores. I didnt even count o'neal so as to not start the debate of his position. but putting him there makes 5 that are sophmores or younger. welch is the only one that is actually a sophmore anyway.

osu is likely to take 2 this year which will give them 6 next year that are sophmores or younger.

our cb recruiting is fine. coleman is likely to be a buckeye and can play cb or S. ray small is a cb and will follow his glenville bretheren. there is also chappal that could earn an offer, and robert williams that would probably have an offer if his academics were in order. DB recruiting wont be an issue this year.

Plus, it's May 18.

Whether I were panties or not is none of your business :) .

I never worry, what's the point. In my post I mention that I'm not worry about the sky falling. No chicken littles here. BP is the best buckeye fan site, however some people are still shell shocked from all the panicking that goes on over at bucknuts. Me trying to Disguss a topic should not be percieved as paniking. Our beloved Bucks will fine this coming season. Even if they don't have the needed depth at CB, Tressel will find a way to make it happen. I'm simply making discussion why is that a big deal?

BestBuck36, sorry I'm late to this party...just didn't check in on this thread for some reason. Anyway, I'll simply echo what has already stated by saying the roster is stocked with DB types...some will pan out as safeties some will develop as CBs. However, the current list, for this early in the game, is perfectly fine IMHO.

goofguy: You say you're concerned about the DEPTH of our CBs, then you list over a dozen players in the secondary. With Youboty a lock at one corner, we only realistically need three more good corners. With the amount of DBs we have on the roster, along with O'Neal, Jenkins, and Amos coming in as freshmen, we'll be fine.

I see your point that we have enough candidates amongst those dozen or so that can play DB. My point is that of those dozen who can we realistically count on to play CB. Physically it takes a different type of athlete to play CB. Not all dozen of those guys are suited to play CB.

By the way I want to make it clear that I'm not screaming about the kids we are currently recuiting. We got many months to read posts from the computerbucks and buki919s of the world, I'll leave the paniking to them.

its may, things will be sorted out when theses guys can go head to head in camp later this year. thats the time when most offers come out. remember the staff is now using the "rifle" approach rather than the "shotgun" approach, so they are targeting guys they think they have a real legit shot at.

its may things will be fine.
