Man! Glenville has nothing but speed yearly! They keep producing stars with every class - TG1 is doing an aswome job! (I wouldnt mind him maybe doing some coaching our speed training a lil bit in football). I remember hearing about guys like Troy Smith and other speedsters on their team when I was playing football in central ohio (in high school - 3 years ago). I saw their 4*400m and hadnt heard of their teammates names till recently. Having A realy team of Ginn, Jamario, Freddy, and Smith and them blasting thru championships just shows that when they all team up here at O-State its gonna be crazy.

Thanks for posting that OSU62, I was lazy and you beat me to it. Feel free to keep updating if you come across more results throughout the season...

Freddie got 2nd in the 200m in 22.51 seconds and he got 3rd in the 100m in 10.95. Still no word about Jamario.

Donald W. won the long jump by 14 inches!

Mike and Brian led GlenOak to the Stark County Championship in the terrible conditions yesterday. Mike won the high jump and was on the winning 4*400 team. Brian won both hurdles (including a season-best 14.18 in the 110s) and was on the winning 4*400 and 4*100 relay teams.

Glenville won big at the Bellaire Relays. Freddie Lenix won both the 100m and the 200m and was also on at least one winning relay, maybe more. He ran 10.8 and 21.8 and he came away with the MVP award. Still no mention of Jamario...

Andre Amos got 2nd in the 400m at the Wayne Invitational on Friday. He ran a 50.57

Piqua's Brandon Saine, looking muscular for a sophomore track star. He's definitely one of the fastest sophomores in the country. 100 M times in the 10.6 range. Finished in the top 10 at the state finals of Ohio as a freshman. Said he enjoys football more than track.

Dayton Daily News said:
• Cleveland Glenville is the state's deepest Division I program. But the Tarblooders are no match for Piqua sophomore Brandon Saine.

Unloading a jet-like overdrive, Saine ran away from Glenville's Freddie Lenix in a matchup of Ohio's best to win a wind-aided 100 (10.68). Lenix, another Glenville great who's headed to Ohio State University as a defensive back, was second (10.80).

"I knew I could beat (Lenix) because I got him in the 55 indoor," Saine said. "I'll be ready for state now. I don't feel I'm unbeatable, but I'm feeling pretty good about my running right now."

Trotwood-Madison's Darison Williams was third (10.90).

Lenix (21.67) beat Saine (21.72) out of the blocks and withstood a strong challenge to win the 200.
Ray Small, Buckeye recruit from Glenville turned in an impressive time in the 200M, coming in third with a 21.84.

Anderson Russell placed in two events at the Georgia State Championships. He got 4th in the 100m in 10.98 seconds and got 2nd in the 200m in 22.00 seconds. He also qualified in the 4*100m relay and the long jump, but did not place.

The Ohio boys are beginning their "post-season" for track and Indiana (Donald Washington) starts today, so I should have some more updates within the next day or two on the speed we've got coming in...

Donald Washington advanced by winning the long jump (20'4"). This was almost a full 3 feet shorter than the record he set here last year, but there's a catch: Donald only took one jump (out of 6 allowed) and apparently realized he had done enough to advance. He then took part in 2 relays, placing 3rd in one and 2nd in the other.

As for the Ohio boys (top 4 advance).... *Disclaimer -- I might have missed one or two*

Freddie Lenix - 1st place 100m - 10.7, 1st place 200m - 21.7, 1st place 4*200, 1st place 4*400
Jamario O'Neal - ran qualifying round of 4*200m
Ray Small - 3rd place 200m - 22.2, 2nd place 4*100m, 1st place 4*400
Thaddeus Gibson - DNP in 100m - 11.7, DNP in 200m - 23.2
Brian Hartline - 1st place 110Hurdles - 14.1, 1st place 300Hurdles - 37.9, 6th place 4*100m, 2nd place 4*400m
Mike Hartline - 5th place 110H - 15.4, 5th place 300H - 39.6, 2nd place 4*400m, 4th place High Jump (6')
Andre Amos - 6th place 400m - 51.1
Ross Homan - 8th place 100m - 12.0, 4th place 4*200m, 7th place 4*100m
