High School 2005 North/South Game Observations

DB's get burnt, it's all part of the deal. I'm not encouraged by what I've read, but I'm far from callin off the dogs on him.
IMHO, as biased as it may be, playing defensive back is the most difficult position on the field. There is a level of discipline, athleticism, and intelligence that is unmatched by any other position on the field. Some of these guys have not played in 8 months...beyond their practice time over the past week.

A DB getting burned in this type of situation is neither reason for concern nor indicative of their skill.

First of all, many think he's coming in as a safety.
Second of all, we don't need him. Everett is extremely capable at playing the boundary corner position, and Welch/Lane look like promising corners to be.
Third of all, I don't know what you are reading, but he really wasn't asked to do much coverage yesterday. Maybe MM did burn him a lot last year but MM is quite special. Jamario was phenomenal in the Army AA game against more than one of the nation's best WRs.

Gallery: North South Game 05

Click on the picture to see 43 fun pictures from the sidelines that I took... I'm still learning but having a blast and getting a little better at it...

To clarify, my loyalties to BP have not changed, but will occasionally take photographs for SGN as it is a legit news source to put on my resume...

Thanks guys I'm looking forward to taking more pics for them in the future.... Feel free to copy a picture that you love over here, I just want to direct some of the traffic over to SGN since they are new...

Ted Ginn was constantly pulling pranks, tackling Chris wells, starting fake fights, tripping Freddie from behind, etc...

You can only imagine how disappointed I was that I didn't have my small lens (so I could zoom out) on the camera during those moments...

Will do on the email... I'm sure there is much you can offer to a newbie like myself.

I was using a Canon 300D with a Sigma 70-200 f2.8... I think the camera was fully capable it was just the person using it. The tripod I was using also lost a screw in the 1st quarter and became useless after that (I noticed I probably should have a monopod), so I was taking these pictures with my untrained, unsteady hands.

For what it's worth. Jared Humphreys is a great athlete. He played qb in a small town very close to here. Dominated all year long. This guy isn't even a Wide out and caught two td's..As stated, playing db isn't an easy task..You can't judge much by a game like this..I was happy to see a local kid do well though..
