definitely a compliment. wiley threw a pretty nice ball for a non college qb. i don't know if he ever threw an incompletion at osu either. best part of wiley, he would be running at the line of scrimmage full speed and then just toss it out there. most backs slowly grip the ball, slow down, set their feet, and then throw. not wiley.

Ginn definitely needs to be used in space on the field and in mismatches set up by motion and misdirection. I am confident that JT will make max use of his ability and will avoid placing him in situations where he is less effective and more likely to be injured.

I remember Wiley throwing the ball to Dudley a few times. I loved that play. I've wondered why the Bucks don't teach other RBs to do that.

And I think the shot-Ginn formation hasn't been as effective as it should be. JT has been using Ginn as another WR in that formation. Has he run any reverses or option plays from that formation? I think you need to show defenses that you can and will run Ginn from that formation before they commit some defenders to stop him.

Of course, any time he is on the field, the defense will always pay attention to where he is and what he can potentially do from there, but if they run one reverse from that formation, you can fake the reverse the rest of the day and I bet the defense will bite every time.

However, I think I'm with you, Mili. Line him up as a normal slot receiver, and run your reverses and fake reverses and stuff from there.

I was thinking maybe we should have our three burners on the field at all time. Gonzo, Ginn, and Holmes. Do you guys think that a three reciever set should be our main formation. I know we have Shot Ginn but what about the Idea of having a true 3 reciever formation?

Even if Ginn doesn't ever throw the ball. Just knowing he can will scare the defense into not coming up everytime he is in the backfield.

If they do come up, he should be able to throw it up, and let a receiver get under it.
Just having him in the backfield, or coming around for a reverse will screw teams up.

Imagine a double reverse with him to Holmes. Every defender would be following Ginn, allowing Holmes to get a big chunk.

There is alot of possibilities.

You're right - there are a lot of possibilities. But I think that the Bucks need to show Ginn throw the ball a couple of times. Maybe in the Miami game? Texas will have to spend a few extra minutes to gameplan for that. He wouldn't have to throw vs. Texas, but every time he gets the ball behind the line, Texas would have to be ready for it.

Also, what do people think about a hook-and-ladder play? I know it can be very, very, VERY risky, but the Bucks have the talent, and I think they have the intelligence, as well. Imagine: Holmes runs a quick slant toward the center of the field. TS or JZ hits him with a good pass. Teddy Gone, coming out of his spot in the Shot-Ginn formation, is running away from the middle of the field, and is behind Holmes. Holmes pitches or hands-off to Ginn. The entire defense on that side of the field will be converging on Holmes, and Ginn will be gone.

Do you know who our coach is?

No.

I'm sitting here at work with nothing to do. Can't I open my imagination a little?

Sure... but this isn't Mike Martz we're talking about.

Can you imagine...in any situation other than needing a touchdown with literally only seconds left, where Tressel would design a play where the ball was in the air twice?
