[2004:NFL] Fantasy Football - Buckeye Planet Deuce

For any of you that has never tried the Sporting News free fantasy league I's suggest you give it a try. It's simple and a lot of fun.
You get x amount of dollars to spend on 2 Wr's, 2 Rb's, 1 Qb and a defense. You have to stay under the cap and it's diffucult to do.
You can form your own league or join a world wide league that TSN puts you in at random.
They also keep a record of where you stand overall. I think last year there were approximately a half million people that participated.
I played in three different leagues and at one point I got as High as 2,000 overall.
Some players will start out cheap, For example, a rookie WR. If he begins having good weeks then they raise his salary at some point and it becomes more expensive to trade for him.
It's important to keep a hold of those trades you are allowed because if you run out of trades and you player gets hurt and is out you wouldn't be able to trade him away before the next game. Trading is actually just dropping one guy and picking up another.
It's fun just trying to figure out how to spend your money without going over the cap.

Ash,

I absolutely love the Sporting News leagues...they are the only baseball ones I've done, and I also do an MLS one too. Unfortunately, the one drawback I see to the free leagues is that you can buy extra trades, which means some geek can buy 500 of them and basically sink your cances of winning the league (happened to me in baseball). Thier pay leagues have prizes and also a fixed amount of trades, so I thought I might try one of those.

I've been playing football and now baseball at Bullysports.com, and I love it . Three teams for 24.95 (or 9.95 per team), with unlimited trading and/or free agent action. Although I have to admit that my three baseball teams are taking alot of my time. Had to lease out my 7 yr. old until the middle of Sept..
