2004 CFN All-Feshman Team

I think the rotation will look something like this. At this point Sims and Mangold are the only locks to be on the field. Who would have thought that Datish and Rehring wouldn't even see the field against SCum especially since Datish had started every game.

Sims/Boone-Downing/Sims-Mangold/Datish-Datish/Mitchum-Barton/Rehring

To me Rehring looks more like a RT or big guard than a LT. Boone should be a great LT for 4 years. If he gets in this spring he might take over LT and move Sims over to guard. I would like to know who they are grooming to take over center after next year. I know Datish will have another year, but I would like to see Mitchum or Bemoll start working at it now so that we'll have another good one. The largest amount of improvement that this unit will see in the next year will be if Peterson takes over as the OL coach. I know I say this every year, but they could be really good next year if this happens.

Besides Ginn and Barton, look how many of these kids we were in on, at one point or another...Baker, McGlover, Reddick, Jarrett, Siler (briefly I think), Wheelwright (grades)... we may not always get the players we want, but at least this goes to show what a great eye for talent our staff has.

I also wouldn't be surprised to see Boone in there, but I think this lineup is the most realistic, especially if Boone doesn't get to practice until the summer.

Very excited about the O line the next couple of years!!!!!
I hope Cordle pushes the line too, I'm definitely a homer (from Lancaster), but I've heard very good things about him...and I heard he was enrolling early but I'm not sure if its true. The kid is already huge (just under 300 IIRC), but he looks fairly lean for an o-lineman. He's the #8 OG on Rivals, and was #7 on their Ohio Pre-season top 40

I've also heard that Boone might early enroll, which could mean absolutely wonderful things for our o-line next year...and I was feeling pretty good in the last few games already with the changes that were made

I keep saying this...don't forget about Skinner...this kid was hugely overlooked in high school because of his knee injury, but he is 6'5 280 and could factor into the equation at tackle next year.
