Game Thread (2004) Bowl Game: MasterCard Alamo Bowl - Oklahoma State - 12/29/04 (W, 8-4/4-4)

As much as I hate the state of Oklahoma, I must say you guys are really class acts.

I'm glad to see that you aren't all like my friend Kyle who moved to Ohio from your state (yes, he was an OkSU fan, not an OU fan ). It'd be great to get our ADs together and set up a home and home with you guys, you're way better fans than the rest of the Big12.

I'm just one of many who will be travelling over the holidays and want to catch the Bucks beat those Orange suited sissies in San Antonio.

I'll be in Orlando, Florida if someone could suggest a place to go watch, but I'd like to encourage others to shout out places where Buckeye fans will be gathering in far from the snow places.

Thanks. :oh: :oh:

Just west of Orlando on colonial drive(hwy 50) in Winter Garden there is a sports bar called benchwarmers, the owner is a Buckeye fan and more than likely will have something going on for the game.

probably too far from Orlando for the game (2 hours).... In Sarasota the Alumni meets at Capt. Curt's on Siesta Key. luckobucko is more north than me so he might have a better idea of something closer.... Buffalo Wild Wings in Brandon I believe... but that will still be a drive.

I believe the O-State guys are waiting on their tech person to get the articles up on their page. Should be today, as JWil has posted his article on our board this morning. I believe their tech guy was out of town for a couple of days.

EDIT: Articles are now up. More to come.

yeah buckeyenation27, we LOVE the fact that our Pete is entrenched in history.

On a side note, I wanna write a screenplay about Eaton's life. Think it'd make a good movie?

"Looking forward to a great game, and Hot Okla St. chicks in San Antonio..."

Dude, don't worry. I'm sure y'all have some hotties... but we have the sun longer than you, and well, you just need to make a visit to Stillwater in about late March. We'll have hotties in force, I'm sure.

As for your side of the stories... Our Tech boy, Wang, has been sick and had finals this week, so we're a little behind. But look for jlb's story up on O-State this evening!

if any of the BP members are attending the game.. and haven't been to San Antonio before... there are a number of fast food type restaurants that offer breakfast burritos.. includes scrambled eggs and potatoes.. plus anything else you'd want.... they are FABULOUS... picante sauce is big with these rascals too.. test the sauce before you douse the burrito... some are Texas hot.. which is a huge difference from Midwest hot... rip the skin right off your tongue...

Check out O-State.com's BOWL CENTRAL!

It's basically game week now, and we've unveiled something we hope our northern visitors will enjoy: The O-State.com Bowl Central.

This is a page that will be full of nothing but links to Alamo Bowl stuff. We'll have links to articles that are written from the O-State side and the BuckeyePlanet side. It's kinda bare now, but hopefully by Christmas it'll be full of goodies for all the good Cowboys and Buckeyes out there.

Anyway, here's the link: http://www.o-state.com/bowl-central/2004/

Check it out and tell us what you think! And please, definitely drop by our site for some friendly cross-school talk!
