Holtmann is fine - he had to rebuild the roster. He more or less lucked into KBD having the year of his life and has been building the roster. Ohio State isn't likely to get 1 and dones anymore - you need to build a roster to last and he's doing that.

I'd say Jeff Boals would be worth a look. Ohio almost upset Illinois and he turned Stoney Brook around fast. Part of the reason why Thad had success here. That's a guy who would be easily obtainable

Can't criticize Holtmann but we just have a bunch of posters who say "Oh it's Ohio State basketball we can't accept more than mediocrity", Thad Matta isn't coming back". Uh the school could literally pay to get the most talented young coaches to come here and would be a top destination for anyone that is destined for a blue blood.
