If these guys could play like this and improve their free throw defense, they could make a run!

At the end of the first half, the Bucks got a rebound with 44.5 seconds left, giving them a chance at my pet peeve 2-for-1. Thornton shot in less than 6 seconds, and then a pair of offensive rebounds let them get two more shots off, the last one with 4 seconds left. Then Purdue had about a 65-footer bounce off the rim, and the announcer was wrong, that shot would have counted, he had heard the shot clock buzzer with 2 seconds left. So the Buckeyes couldn’t get a 2-for-1, but they did get a 3-for-1 with nobody scoring, keeping the 5-point halftime lead. So, well done.

What's so infuriating is that if they had just managed not to blow those 18-point leads, they would be sitting at 7-8 in conference with a relatively easy finish. 3-2 or 4-1 would certainly be realistic and you could be looking at 11-9 or 10-10 in-conference and an NCAA berth. I know you are what your record says you are, but this is NOT a bad basketball team. There is more than enough talent here to easily be upper-half of the conference.

It's not a bad team at all, that's why I quit watching until they let CH go. It was a poorly coached team. Unfortunately we waited until it was too late to make the change. I'm going to enjoy this one for what it is in isolation, but you're right...hard not play the what if game with this team.

Helluva win. Loved the energy & effort. Battle was a sniper the 2nd half. Bruce did his thing, and Key made some big poke-aways on Edey. Got all the frosh some run in the 1H. Lots of positives to build on. Huge win for Diebler, feel good for the staff & players.

If I'm gonna be realistic, big red flag game for Purdue. They looked slow and not good at preventing some easy shots. Okpara's minutes would definitely be on the chopping block for me - I just don't think he really makes this team better most of the time. Gotta make the 5 a flexible, by-committee spot for this team to be its best.

Theoretically they have an outside shot at making the tournament now, but they have to get to 19 wins at the absolute minimum. This win & the Bama win will hold up & help, but 4 more wins are necessary. Tough schedule ahead with 3 difficult road games & 2 winnable home games, so this team will need to repeat this effort on the road to get anywhere.

Yeah that adds up, I know there's technically a chance to get in. I just think channeling in what we saw tonight for 5 games with 3 on the road is pretty unlikely. We'll see though, maybe that's the momentum they need. 19 wins and a good B1G conference showing could sneak us in. But I'm just hoping for better play and some momentum heading into next year.
