2 more top 2019 prospects are still considering Ohio State

The Buckeyes made the cut for a pair of standout seniors over the weekend.
Urban Meyer and crew might’ve not locked up another verbal pledge, but the Ohio State Buckeyes did have their name in the recruiting headlines.

Buckeyes make the cut
Guess what? Just like many others, two more highly sought after class of 2019 prospects are still considering bringing their talents to Columbus to suit up for the Big Ten powerhouse.
Trimming their leader lists down, Ohio State still finds themself in the mix for not just Michigan linebacker Lance Dixon, but also Florida wide receiver John Dunmore.
Dixon, a standout at West Bloomfield High School, cut things from well over 20 offers down to five schools. Still in play for 6-foot-3, 195-pounder, who could also play safety on the next level, are Big Ten Conference programs Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin.
Now considering seven schools, Dunmore of Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Fla., is thinking over signing with either Ohio State, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Auburn, or Penn State.
Some recruits might list a school as a leader before having the chance to check out the campus. That’s not Dunmore, though, as he visited OSU in the spring to get more familiar with the program as a whole.
Splitting time playing quarterback and wide out last season at Delray Beach’s American Heritage, Dunmore accounted for nearly 300 receiving yards and six touchdowns.
The Buckeyes might have to put in overtime to land Dixon and Dunmore, with in-state programs looking to have the inside track for their pledges at the moment. Although they might not end up calling the 614 home, it’s a good sign for the amount of work Ohio State is putting in while out on the road recruiting.
2020 OL lands OSU offer
Always tracking down talent, Ohio State has dished out offers to a long list of solid class of 2020 prospects recently.
On Saturday another junior recruit announced he’s added a scholarship from the Buckeyes to his growing list of college opportunities.
Now with over 15 offers on the table, Ohio State joins programs such as Oklahoma, Michigan, Nebraska, Oregon, and USC on the hunt for four-star Columbine (CO) offensive tackle Andrew Gentry.

Picking up new interest weekly, the 6-foot-8, 290-pound roadblock is considered one of the top recruits in the 2020 class. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Gentry is pegged as the 27th offensive tackle, and 217th overall prospect in the country at the moment.
Ohio State’s class of 2020 currently sits at one, with current Buckeye offensive tackle Max Wray’s brother, Jake, as the lone commitment at the moment. Could that soon change? Stay with Land-Grant Holy Land for the latest.
