NFBuck NC does have the number one class in the nation coming in according to some recruiting services. It is bascially 1A and 1B so it wasnt that bad of a statement.

Dookie V(I like that name) did give us some props and say we were sneaking up on people and gave us some props for big ten crown, and said if we win out we should get consideration for a #1 seed.

Just a couple things about the game.

I first want to start off with Hansborough was the best player on the court tonite. Can you guys guess who stuck it too him on national tv last year. Yep thats right Mr. Oden.

Second if Dook doesnt make it to the semi-finals fo the ACC tourney I really don't think they deserve a number one seed. It is all about how you finish.

What happened to the GOAT tonite. He was non existant on his going out party.

And last off, is it now obvious to people why there is such a hatred towards Dook. Here is why.

Turn on ESPN and whats on UNC vs. Dook
Turn on ESPN2 and whats on UNC vs. Dook with a different camera view.
For those with ESPNU turn its one and what is on UNC vs. Dook with a view from the crowd or whatever the fuck they did.
Turn on some other ESPN channel and they had some sort of real time stats or some bullshit.

Since this is the second best rivalry in college sports I am wondering what ABC is going to with The Game next year, maybe they will show TG05 hard at work in a concession stand passing out Nachos.

Let me add my congrats to UNC. I watched the last 8 min. or so this morning, I had the volumn muted to not wake the wife, (not that an earthquake could!). I could almost feel Dean Smith on the sidelines, hell, I think Roy is starting to look like him. It was just like his teams, play D, take good shots, keep the ball in the hands of your athletes, make foul shots, use the clock,... amazing. I met Dean once at a clinic in Chapel Hill, actually i met him outside the gym, smoking a cigarette. Hell of a nice guy, thanked us for coming, told us to call him if we needed anything, said he always liked to help out high school coaches. He didn't talk much at all at the clinic, Eddie Fogler and Roy did all the talking. In the practice we watched after, they did most of the one on one coaching too, but Dean was always watching and commenting. He's one of the top two I've had the pleasure of listening to, watching, or reading. Watch out for them next year, they'll be very, very good. Sorry, rant over. Just remembering a good time.

UNC was clearly the better team, and I honestly think that they're going to do some damage in the tournament. This team has been on a roll lately. They were coming off a 45 point win over UVA, and coming to play a shocked Duke team that had just been upset by the Seminoles at Cameron Indoor on Senior Night. Almost everyone was putting them aside saying that it couldn't be done, and that J.J. the Savior was going to knock off UNC, and lead his team to the Proimsed Land. However, UNC had the heart and determinaton, while lacking experience and depth, and beat the nation's "elite" team at one of the hardest places to win on the road. That was by far one of the most gutsiest and best performances I've seen so far this year.

Nice little pussy shove to the face at the end.

I don't get it. That was a blatant and dirty move on the part of the Duke kid, but the commentators on ESPN didn't mention it, and I've seen nothing in the press today about it. Especially after earlier this season when the Va Tech player kicked Melchioni which got tons of press, I am shocked at the media's bias in treating these two similar incidents very differently. Along with Coach K taking all but 5 players off the court at the end of the FSU game, this is another instance of poor sportsmanship on behalf of Duke, and the national media's bias in refusing to step up and cover it.

Not entirely true. Hansbrough more than held his own against Oden.

INDIANAPOLIS — After the first half of Thursday night's nationally televised game, Lawrence North junior Greg Oden didn't look like the top player in the nation.

One basket. Two points. His team trailing by three points.

Three minutes into the second half, everything changed.

Oden threw down one powerful dunk after another, starting a highlight show that lasted until Lawrence North's 56-40 victory over Poplar Bluff (Mo.) was finished.

When it was over, the 7-foot junior had 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting, with five dunks, five rebounds and two blocked shots.

His opponent for the ESPN2 telecast played in front of approximately 7,000 at Hinkle Fieldhouse, 6-9 senior Tyler Hansbrough, was impressive as well.

The North Carolina recruit scored 16 points, shooting 7-of-14 from the floor, with 12 rebounds, one assist and one block.

Lawrence North senior forward Donald Cloutier, headed for Western Michigan, turned heads with 15 points, shooting 7-of-9 from the field with two dunks and solid defense on Hansbrough.

The made-for-TV matchup, once tied at 32, turned into a rout once Oden erupted.

He scored 11 of his team's 13 points -- nine coming in a row on four highlight-film dunks and a free throw -- during one stretch in the second half.

On the first two dunks, he posted deep in the lane against 6-8 Ross Whelan, turned, slammed and drew a foul.

Well he held his own, but Oden controlled the game.
