I motherfucking hate the Flyers.

Pens, what the fuck happened? You were awesome in the first, then just let off the gas entirely. Defense just sucks this year. So much talent on the blue line and such embarrassing results. Paul Martin and Michalek haven't been what the were last year, Orpik hasn't been either. Engelland is the second most reliable defenseman on this team. Sad.

The blown offsides call was ridiculous. How do you miss that?

That being said, had a great time in Pittsburgh as usual and encountered more asshole Flyers fans than asshole Penguins fans. I saw one asshole Penguins fan. I saw 7 or 8 Flyers fans and half of them were assholes. Fuck them.

I'm still pretty mad if it isn't apparent....

Pens outscore Flyers 6-1 in the first period over two games at home, and lose both games. There is no excuse for it other than the other team just kicked your ass.

Pens showed cracks getting crushed by the Islanders twice late in the season. The Flyers are just exploiting those cracks.

Man up or go home, Pens. Sorry performance, thus far.

Looks like the Flyers are on a mission. And/or are just playing with a bit more heart.

This defense is a fucking joke and two things need to happen. 1) Lose the zone defensive scheme and 2) Stop being fucking retarded.

The first one wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue if the second didn't happen so much. Paul Martin should be traded at the deadline next year if his defensive game hasn't improved. When he's playing bad defense, he's a liability. He has an awful shot. I'd rather see Despres than him at this point.

I like Bylsma, but he refuses to play matchups. We had the last change tonight and we rolled lines. Play fucking matchups. And for fuck's sake, call a timeout when the game starts getting out of hand, not after it's out of hand. Take a page out of Philly's book.. Jesus fucking Christ this series is a disaster. They will not win four of five against Philly.

Pathetic effort by the defense and the goalie. I've been saying it since Crosby's first playoff game against Ottawa FLEURY has got to step it up. He has constantly been giving up 3-5 goals a game for quite some time now come playoff time and luckily we've won a lot of them with outstanding offense but give me a fucking break. How many times are we going to have rebounds kickoff his pads onto a wide open man at the side of the net? Just horrible goaltending and getting outmuscled inside on defense.

Besides Orpik I have no faith in any defenseman to step up and actually try to get physical. Give me Scuderi or Gill any day of the week over Martin or Milan, and at the fraction of the cost. Even if the pens bounce back from this (which it looks bleak) they've got to upgrade the physical presence of their blueline. Too many small puck moving defensemen and not enough rugged big defensemen.

But where is Malkin? Where is Neal? Right now Philly is destroying Pittsburgh no matter what the matchup but I really think they have to consider putting Malking-Sid-Neal on a line to see if they can't do something to put more consistent pressure on the forecheck.

Amen, get Martin the F*CK out of there. You have to give Peter a ton of credit because he is absolutely owning Dan Byslma. I think on second thought that the reason Malkin/Neal are struggling is because Philly is doing an excellent job making sure their best defensive lineup is out there when We throw out that line.

They're just playing more fundamentally sound at critical points too be honest. Their goalie (won't attempt to butcher his name) although is getting beat a ton is making KEY stops to keep it close to give his team a chance, and once they captialize Philly is doing a great job taking away space and time.
