As the NCAA Tournament opens this week, members of The Repository Sports Department will look back at their most memorable tourney moment. Today, Josh Weir recalls Ohio State's loss to Michigan in the 1992 tournament.
First loves don't end well. The awkwardness. The loss of innocence. The situation can be downright messy.
No, this isn't a story about some loser and the first time a girl told him to get lost. It's about a loser and his fanhood, when rooting for a team becomes personal.
Ohio State's overtime loss to Michigan's Fab Five in the 1992 Elite Eight was the first true hurt I ever felt as a sports fan.
